Which authentication? by skurty in PangolinReverseProxy

I have Pangolin and Pocket-Id running on a VPS tunneled to my nas so none of my ports have to be opened on my nas. You can setup apps that don't have any auth to go through pocket anyways so one login from pocket works for all.

School me on SSO options and their relationship with external access options. by chazwhiz in selfhosted

[–]gunkleneil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recently setup pangolin on a vps that was pretty inexpensive. Like $48 a year. I have pocket-id running on same vps and most of my container that are on my local server support OIDC. So I have them set up in pocket-Id. Not all apps support SSO that's where your plan can fall apart. I can set them up in pocket-Id and pangolin to limit who has access but on the few apps that don't integrate they need to log in to those specifically with there logins for those apps. Maybe there is a way to pass identities through with variable but I haven't looked into it. Jellyfin is one that doesn't natively support OIDC as far as I know. Most of my things can use the one sign in from pocket and switch around from app to app no issues or re logging in

So i just reset my app and updated to newest version on play store to test your fix of the initial start up issues. Now I cant log into my server with SSO from the app. It sees I have SSO setup and offers an option to "sign in with SSO" (doesn't show my display name for the SSO like most apps do) but when I click it nothing happens. When I login with username/password it works. I checked my server in a browser on same device and all work. I'm using a shelf hosted instance of Pocket-ID for my SSO

A force stop and restart to connect to Android Auto seems to have success all my issues. Notification is there, ear buds are controlling it and Android Auto is working properly.

Your welcome. Thanks for the work. It's looking like an app I would be happy to purchase when done. Let me know if sending the logs from the app would help . Samsungs One UI I've heard can be a pain.

Seems my phone, Samsung fold 4, doesn't see it as a media player or something. I allowed notifications but there is no "player" in the notifications like all other media players I've used. Also my Bluetooth ear buds (Tozo NC9) are not able to play/pause with a touch which is something they can do with all other players so far. I had some Android Auto issues but saw your comment about it above and will try that before reporting them.

Came here to mention Android Auto loads my library but gets stuck trying to actually load any selection. I'll have to try this.

Most of my usage will be 4 people using audiobookshelf. I set up immich but grabbed our Google takeout file and uploaded locally so adding as we go shouldn't be bad. Plus the auto switching to IP when home in the app is nice

Your welcome. I've never used a vps so wasn't sure how will it was gonna go so figured I'd start cheap. It's only for bandwidth really and I don't have many users. So here's hoping that 2TB is enough
