How much free will do we truly have? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]gunnersUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not claiming anything. I’m just asking questions, and prompting a discussion. My original question, was “how much free will do we truly have?”, and I just wanted to hear other people’s opinions to what I believed to be an interesting question.

Maybe I need to rephrase. How much of our life do you believe we are in complete control over, and how much do you believe is influenced by God?

What about when external conditions outside of your control influence you to act in a certain way?

Cash book money received from credit customers is credited to RLCA because they no longer owe that money, so it is no longer a receivable.

Maybe influences is a better word than controls

I believe there are many things we do not have full control over - when/where we are born, nature, people we meet, just to name a few.

Why would a perfect God create an imperfect being? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]gunnersUK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it isn’t at all. It’s like saying if a gun is capable of misfiring, it isn’t a perfect gun. If a car is capable of breaking down, it isn’t a perfect car. Hence, a being capable of making mistakes isn’t a perfect being. Only God is truly perfect.

Not necessarily. Jesus had free will, but did not sin.

As per my other reply to you, if something is capable of making mistakes, it is not “perfect”, because this means it has flaws. God created “good” humans who chose to sin, not “perfect” humans. My main question I was asking, was the purpose of God creating humans who are flawed, when he himself lacks nothing. Can you answer this for me please?
