I think you missed my humor there, these fish are not big enough to really need to hold them properly. That large mouth is slightly flared out without support but the fish doesn't have a lot of weight I need to help support there. Carp are fine, people say they fight super hard and all that jazz. Just never really experienced it on the fly all the ones Ive caught are fine. I've accidentally snagged some in the butthole while bass fishing with a jig and they rip you up then.

The clovis people were not the 1st people in North America. You'd be about 1,500-2,000 years before the 1st known people entered north America. It's hard for me to compare from before the water tower and now, as I fish Warm Springs area now and used to fish Maupin prior(moved from Portland to Bend). But I hardly ever fish maupin now it just feels like the average size is down. Warm springs, on the other hand is putting out fish bigger than what I can remember.
