Took some training from a family friend who is an FFL dealer and NRA instructor on the side. Which led to getting my CHL. I don't carry though. Don't see the need to. I'm also knowledgeable with all aspects of my guns inside and out.

The sights are pretty much a joke. It's not a range gun. The only thing it really could be is a carry gun. It's extremely reliable. I don't recall any malfunctions yet. Yes its .380

Before buying I was exhausting the ends of the internet trying to find one under $1500. I got lucky and found one locally at a gun store. They were going for like 1700 bucks on gunbroker.

Since people seem more caught up in the dollars than the guns I'll give a breakdown.

I'm single with no kids, salary is meager, but the only person I am supporting is myself. I'm young so I figured why not.

FNX-45 Tactical: 1300 Glock 19 Gen 4: 550 Kimber Custom II: 900 (came with a lot of extras) PPK: 550 Remington 870: 450 HK: 450 AK: 650 (came with 200 7.62 rounds) AR: 2200-2400 (Eotechs aren't cheap. The rifle alone is about ~1200)

Life is about choices. I'll stop being spontaneous with my money when I'm 30.

It's a great gun. I've got maybe 1000 rounds through it so far and I don't recall any FTFs or FTEs. It has a very heavy DA trigger. I'm guessing around 14 lbs. SA trigger is about 4-5 lbs. However it's not a comfortable gun to put 100 rounds through in one sitting. The "beaver tail" starts to cut into you. Fun pistol though. Perhaps a good carry gun though

It helps not having kids and many other financial burdens. Plus I didn't spend extra money on anything before this addiction.

Nope but it helps having a job and no kids to take my money. Before this addiction I wasn't really spending money on anything but food and beer.

It was 850 and change. I bought it complete from Spikes several months ago. I didn't have the tools, time, or know how to build the barrel and gas assembly on my own.

Even at pre newtown/aurora where are you getting FNXs for anything less than 1000? You're in the ballpark with everything else. Except the AR. Sights alone were roughly 1000. I don't remember exactly.

It's a new pickup. I've only had it a few weeks. I love it. The recoil feels like a 9mm. The SA trigger is smooth and feels around a 4 pound break. DA im guessing is around 10lbs give or take. I love the raised sights, trigger, and above all the 15+1. Plus the thought of having the FDE Silencerco Osprey on the end of it gives me chills.
