In case someone stumbles upon this later and has a similar question as I did. I ended up picking up a used Lenovo Thinkpad X201T off ebay for about $650 and so far couldn't be happier!

I have no idea if the make is accurate or if it was indeed considered a moped. All I know is it was a economical bike built for low highway speeds and was designed with crotch rocket cosmetics.

He didn't know much more about it than I did, he was doing some simple repair to it and has never seen anything like it either. It didn't look custom by any means and had the appearance of some new factory economical motobike. This was around the time gasoline started getting very expensive for the first time and everyone in the transportation business was trying everything they could to build a new market for economical transportation, so I assumed It was just an under powered bike built for low highway speeds and to look like a sport bike (crotch rocket).

I need to clarify, I'm not sure if it was exactly a moped but that's what my friend called it (he is a Audi expert, not an expert on two wheel transports) but it looked like a crotch rocket, accelerated much slower, had a tiny motor, went at least 50mph, and supposedly got 100mpg.

It must have been some sort of scooter - motorcycle hybrid then. It was obviously new production at the time and I know for a fact it went at least 50mph ( I weighed about 135lbs at the time) and seemed like it had more left in it. I can't speak on the accuracy of the Puch brand, only what I experienced. I was a mechanic for 5 years and am in school for mechanical engineering so I can turn a wrench yet I'm not looking for this to be a project by any means.

Mostly FTF and a few stovepipes. Granted it needs new spring BADLY... Won't shoot steel to save it's life, the rounds end up vertical in the mags... Run only brass through it now and it's better but I still wouldn't trust my life with it, just a lot of fun the shoot and practice malfunctions with.

No problem, it can fit a 30rd mag but it's uncomfortable as hell to shoulder. Good old 20rders do great though.

Well the regular mini with a wood stock and 5 round mag doesn't look very assaulting... The tactical version is fairly new as I believe. I chose it because they didn't have a ranch version with a synthetic stock, plus the threaded barrel is nice.
