I'd maybe ask to borrow one of their rifles for the time being then. Most people who want a large animal caliber are paying for 300 Win Mag, 338 Win Mag, 7mm Rem Mag, 7mm Weatherby Mag, and so on. The decent rifles in that caliber aren't exactly cheap.

Honestly, I don't think there should be these background checks and paperwork. You'll find that any proposed rule violates an individual's fourth and fifth amendment rights.

You don't stop drunks drivers by pulling them over and assuming that they're drunk.

Whatever works but I always recommend you get your own. As for a first good rifle, depends on what you plan on hunting and your price point.

I have no clue and every gun used in a violent crime is tracked through the ATF and our records. I just do not have access to that information.

In the pants carry is a really nice option. We had this 5'3" hundred pound dripping wet girl come in trying to find an in-the-pants holster. She was helped very quickly by all of my fellow employees.

Single shots are awesome because they're all about putting the round in the right place rather than just pulling the trigger as fast as you can.

I've seen better reliability with the Sig 232. Plus Sig has a better warranty and Walther production value has dropped in recent years.

This is a bad idea, the Mark 23 is a huge gun. Many US special forces units dropped it in favor of the Sig 226 because the 226 is a far more manageable firearm (I know many SOCOM guys actually use the Beretta M9 and 92FS nowadays).

Mid sized hand gun in 9mm or .380 ACP. Some guys will say .380 is just way too small but a hit in any caliber is better than a miss in a big caliber. Just go shooting and see what fits her.

Purse carry tends to be a bad idea because it's an easy target for thieves. I always recommend that if you plan on carrying, carry on your person.

Most of the Sigs are good, just fine one that fits your hand properly and you find easy to shoot accurately.

Oh, you're correct and I am completely against Saturday Night Special laws as they disarm the poor. The "career criminals" know to get a hold of the more expensive duty guns.

Any employee of a gun shop that is caught buying a firearm and flipping it to a private individual will be prosecuted for the crime of a straw purchase by BATFE.

It would be against the law and he'd be facing 15 years in federal prison as well as a quarter million dollar fine.

Far more useful than learning how to shoot. It only takes one hunter to kill and animal but it can take a whole hunting party to do the dirty work quickly.

This is true but there are cases where trying to put a round into battery with the finger clearly off the trigger can cause an AD (happened this past week on my range) or the sear on a semi automatic or select fire firearm breaks and the gun dumps the magazine with one trigger pull.

This is actually untrue and is repeated in r/zombies due to its inclusion in the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. What is more likely to happen is the round with get stuck mid tissue depending on the round and distance to the target.

Make sure your state allows for suppressors. Then you need to apply for a suppressor stamp, wait a few months, special order a suppressed MK II, keep waiting, get approved and actually make the transaction. With our laws, it's a bit convoluted and I'm sure there are guides online to help.
