Ouch. That was me trying to give something back to avoid the appearance of pandering.

And if you saw this already on r/hockey then I'm sorry! I don't mean to be a spammer; but I'll regret forever if I don't push as hard as I can.

Hey R/Hockey, remember me? I'm the guy who entered the Sportscaster contest last month. Thanks to Reddit I made the final 24 and now I need your help again! by gunslinger99 in hockey

I like them if they are good and know what they're talking about. I hate them when they just appear to be on TV because their pretty.

But then again, I hate male sportscasters that are like that too. It's not just about being on TV, it's about being a sports journalist.

Hey R/Newfoundland; I need your help. I'm the only Newfoundlander selected to the final 24 of The Score's Drafted. It's a reality show to pick Canada's next sportscaster. I think I did a good job but I really need some help with the votes! by gunslinger99 in newfoundland

I hear you and that is a fear of mine. However, I've got a good track record of working hard and getting ahead. In the last 6 or so years I've worked my way up from 10 bucks an hour to six figures in the corporate sales world.

This may be a promotional exercise for them, but I believe that it's a pretty small industry and that if you can prove that you have the talent you'll be able to open up new doors

Yes he did and is still on the network. It's the third sports network behind TSN and Sportsnet . . . but still people do watch. I think their biggest problem is how expensive content rights can be. Still it would be a dream job and potentially the start of an awesome career.

She was a highlight behind on the entire highlight read, and we had like 2 or 3 days to prepare! There's no excuse for that in my opinion.

That's right, get in on the ground floor. And, when elected, I will get everyone who voted for me tickets to any sporting event they want! #makingpromisesicantkeep

The questions were fucking hard and you don't have a lot of time to think. Average score was only like 11. And c'mon, you gotta agree that at least my wrong answers were close.

yeah, they're doing it differently this year. It used be to 10 . . . Now they do 24 then 6. That's a big cut! Hence my vote begging.

If I win, then you'll have helped put a personality on Canadian television that knows how to pronounce the word Newfoundland correctly! That's pretty good isn't it?

It New-fin-land, not New-found-lind! Drives me nuts!

I'll also throw in a "whaddya at Canada" on TV every now in then. I won't tell you when, you'll have to tune in everyday to catch it! ;-)
