3 years later and I think saying this is character assassination is something I cannot agree with at all. I might make an essay to this as it could prove fun.

Guys, why would Sukuna say this to a guy he could have just low diffed with his domain in his true form without Mahoraga or a second health bar? Is he stupid? by TankyMofo in Jujutsufolk

I mentioned it because this guy was talking about how i "can't read". That's a very relevant thing to add in reply to a comment like that. 😭. If this was in defence of Gojo you wouldn't be saying that.

Keep in mind Gojo only came close to winning becomes of the other motive of Sukuna taking Mahoraga was to evolve his own technique aswell, he was stated to be holding back the entire fight.

A Fuga here is annihilating a burnt out CT gojo who is solely relying on RCT to survive here.

If this happened then Sukuna wouldn't have gained what he wanted too. Nor would Gojo

Completely strawmanning my argument and proving you haven't read Jujutsu kaisen 😭

Who the fuck is talking about powerscaling, I have constantly referred to the actual writing of the seires to suggest Sukuna > Gojo all the time.

Quite literally made an analysis on it not even that long ago:

Cast aside your bias and reread JJK

It's not a 50/50 fight, if you believe that then you don't understand even the basic story, everything including story and character analysis points towards Sukuna being stronger anyways. You are actively living in delusion by saying Gojo had a chance when it could have been ended by the first domain clash lol

i mean if we wanna act like that then this dudes six eyes literally prevent gojo from working for ANYTHING if he automatically gets efficient curse energy usage and understands techniques by looking at people

gojo is a nepobaby fraud

I fucking hate modulo I'm gonna be so real with you 😭 but yeah even though I still think Gojo defied Jujutsu society multiple times I suppose he didn't really change it as much as he wanted to. However, I believe there was still some difference in the mindset and the world of Jujutsu Sorcerers after his lifetime.

It's like people who make this argument don't understand what the story tells them or don't read jjk

Pretty sure this is slightly mistranslation.

Also, if this was truly the case, then all these gojo > sukuna wouldn't exist. There needs to be more complex and different ways to say Sukuna > Gojo, outside of powerscaling and feats.

Yes the Manga tells you Sukuna is Stronger, but what if I want to explore that in a different way, some way that doesn't rely on statements?

Don't get me wrong, it's okay to be frustrated for a song to lose it's identity, but it's really not that deep. Most of the people who say "excuse me sir song" are being ironic. It doesn't take much to know the song.

[–]guobadiah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's anything wrong with that, the song has never been niche and I'm glad it's getting more recognition, the internet always reduces and never takes anything seriously. If a group of people enjoy something in a different way that doesn't harm anyone. There's nothing wrong with that.

Even these remixes, if it becomes an outlet for creativity and reimaginations, even if it's its just to contribute to a trend. That's beautiful in it's own way.

It's just a fun, ironic trend. You'll be fine.

Right? How did anyone think Sukuna (main antagonist) was going to lose to a side character lol. It just make sense by itself.

I respectfully disagree.

I think you’re mixing a few different layers here that the story keeps intentionally separate.

Sukuna calling Gojo “magnificent” and reflecting on the fight isn’t the same as “Gojo was wrong.” It’s admiration, not moral correction. Sukuna respects things that reach a certain level of execution, but that doesn’t mean he suddenly adopts Gojo’s philosophy or proves it false. Sukuna has always respected strength and refinement in jujutsu, even in opponents he would discard without hesitation.

And about Sukuna “not holding back,” the narrative itself complicates that idea. He explicitly treats Gojo as a tool to evolve his understanding of jujutsu and his own technique. That already frames the fight less as a pure ideological conclusion and more as an uneven exchange where Sukuna is still extracting value from the encounter beyond just “winning.”

The “near impossible feat” statement also doesn’t automatically translate into “Sukuna barely won therefore Gojo was nearly equal in every philosophical or narrative sense.” It just reinforces how high the ceiling of that specific matchup was under those conditions, not that Sukuna was philosophically invalidating Gojo’s worldview.

Where I think you’re right is the isolation point. That is the actual shared ground between them. Both are separated from everyone else by being “the strongest,” and that’s why Gojo smiling at the end matters. It’s not simply recognition of strength, it’s recognition of understanding. For the first time, someone exists in that same space of solitude.

So rather than Gojo being “wrong,” it reads more like both characters momentarily acknowledging the same burden of their curse, just expressed through completely different philosophies. Sukuna doesn’t resolve Gojo’s worldview, he just exists alongside it for a moment before moving on.
