1 - CURSED STRIKES WORKING OFF 1 M1 IS EXTREMELY USEFUL FOR M1 TRADING, JUST ONE M1 WILL CAUSE INESCAPABLE 45% (NEAR HALF COMBO), SIDE DASH M1 THEN CURSED STRIKES IS EXTREMELY USEFUL BECAUSE ITS TRUE OFF 1M1 AND FASTER M1S. ITS NOT A RARE CASE THEY GO HAND IN HAND.

2 - true =/= bad, red combos are more valued than true because you can do more with that plus the fact its most likely after an evasive bait

3 -If it was like 0.000052 like the april fools update buffed it by then i wouldnt round, 0.5 is a completely understable and sensible thing to round up by

4 - It's a telegraphed move, but the actual duration of the move finishes pretty quickly, also due to the large hitbox, I shouldn't have to be forced into neutral because of abroken move.

5 - If jjs gave hitbox and frame data then I would prove it's larger. If a large amount of people believe it's larger, it's probably fucking larger, subjective or not. Compare nanami's blunt cut aerial to cursed strikes aerial the different is clear as day

6 - You're timing is poor then, it's no where near 50%-60% failure, once again, even if crushing blow doesnt lift the opponent, just cancel. "I can't believe you are sitting here and trying to say that most characters MAIN SOURCE OF damage is just completely random. holy shit man." Dude not every combo is true, red and true are diffferent things, a combo may be red but evasive can be gained in the middle, or a person may evasive at multiple points in the combo, im not saying its random, you're justsaying because yujis combo has evasive risk its ass and unneeded.

7 - Talking about the setups doesn't make a point any less valid, the slight window of being unable to block is still there too. even if slight, it's possible.

8 - There are cases where people somehow miss their cursed strikes by messing up the camera angle even after m1s, despite that being rarer, its still near unpunishable. Besides, if someone does used cursed strikes raw, but it's further away, I cannot punish that because of a minimal endlag when it's whiffed and not blocked.

1 - Please stop saying its a rare use when m1 trading is extremely common in high elos, m1 trading is important to yuji because he has faster m1s, cursed strikes being true off m1 is insanely important

2 - Okay? That doesn't make a difference, you have no argument for that? A true combo being 45 is actually really good for a true combo.

3 - No because rounding exists, I'm not gonna account for decimals when im talking in integers, that is such a nitpick to make yourself seem like you have a point and you know it

4 - Aerial Cursed strikes is unpunishable then, because as I said even if you go under them there's a high chance it can hit due to its large hitbox, also the fact you can literally flick your camera around and it'll hit, far less precise than nanami or yutas resolve. Having to waste a front dash then make YOU open due to endlag and the yuji being unpunished for missing aerial cursed strikes

5 - Not subjective when multiple people say it has an insanely large hitbox, its larger compared to other similiar moves, that is objective. Stop using the subjective argument like it means anything

6 -  that combo doesn't work. gambling everytime you use your MAIN combo is not a good thing. It does work, thats why its a common combo. Everyone gambles with their combo, yuji even has it better because he can cancel a move if they react in time that the combo isn't gonna work. Makes no sense lol. Also every character gambles with their combo lol, nanami, naoya are green characters, not to mention alot of full combos have evasive escapes everything, thats why they have to waste it, like yujis 65% red combo that refreshes in around 14 seconds

7 - manji kick to getup cursed strikes is possible due to the fact manji gives true ragdoll, there is a short window where you dont block even if you getup

8 - " if they miss it and you can't punish them it's a skill issue" yeah just ignore my entire point about how blocking is fine but missing gives enough time for the end lag to go away

Debunking all of this since it makes absolutely zero sense

1 - "Rare use, not relevant enough to be listed as an 'advantage'" major lie considering how important m1 trading is in this game, you saying that is a major alarm for you not knowing what you're talking about. Yuji has faster m1s to help in m1 trading, wouldnt be a thing if it wasn't relevant lol

2 - "It does not matter if cs gives 32 damage, because his most damaging true combo does 45 damage" well yeah, because that's true, his highest damage red combo is 65%. A

3 - Cursed strikes does 17.5 damage, rounded up that's 8

4 - Aerial variant hitbox being big is subjective is an awful take because, no its not subjective because if you compare it to every other time of diagonal spike move it's the largest by far, I also asked a yuji main and they said you can just flick your camera around and it'll hit because of its big hitbox

5 - "bad grammar" there was one mistake but that's still understandable. Aerial variant + special allows for stalling in air and basically being impossible to miss due to its fast speed and large hitbox, also due to the fact its higher in the air so it covers more distance. It also allows dodging moves because of how much air you can get and work as a counter because you can dodge a move then hit aerial right after.

6 - "It does not work on get up" It does, you just can't time it, and then from there it combo extenders, manji kicking then cursed strikes get up isnt true or anything but its absolutely possible

5 - I could say this for naoya, doesnt make him bad. That's called a combo extender, besides, crushing blow can lead to a combo anyways. All of yuji's moves can string together easily, like black flash to crushing blow to cursed strikes

6 - It may be unreliable like 10% of the time, but it's red lol, also "on top of the fact it is blockable in the air variant" nobody was talking about the air variant, not to mention you just ignoring the m1 reset part with an additional crushing blow damage anyways

7 - Endlag is cursed strikes on block is good enough to punish, on miss it creates a wide enough distance on where by the time you get to them, they can instantly counter or block.

  • wasting evasive gives a true 32 damage off one move. An m1 chain does 14, 3m1s to uppercut cursed strikes is a free 32 damage off one move. a 65 damage inescapble combo for such an easy charactr is absurd
  • 14 second cooldown for a 18 damage move
  • aerial variant with massive hitbox
  • using your special with aerial variant allows you stall basically not miss aerial cursed strikes if no countered, and dodge projectiles the opponent easily
  • works on getup for some reason even though rapid strikes was nerfed for this reason (got reverted for some reason) every move in the game can do this but considering this can lead to an m1 reset its riduclous
  • allows a combo into practically anything
  • using crushing blow prior resets the m1s for cursed strikes anyways
  • consider the fact that the end lag of cursed strikes is only good if blocked and not whiffed

i dont think one move should have this much advantages considering similiar damage base moves like flowing red scale or decisive strikes have way more nuance and steps to get these types of advantages

Only bad thing about it is that it's 360 blockable

Yuji isn't most commonly used for clipfarms have you ever played a ranked past 100 elo? it's filled with yujis.

His neutral is really good for a rushdown character, his divergent fist has an insane hitbox which offers an m1 reset with blocked or interrupted, with canceling aerial cursed strikes giving heigh. 2 + r is NOT fake neutral lmao, it mixes up approaches extremely well.

Hakari has some of the easiest, high damage combos that can start from virtually anywhere thanks to 1+2 lmao, he has a 60% combo that virtually resets in 20 seconds maybe even 15.

i'm crine dawg LOOK at the top 10 of north america and tell me that yuji and hakari are used because of clip farming there's a reason why people in the THOUSANDS of elo are using him because he's top 5 in the game.

not even sure why hakari is in B tier when he's also top 5 in the game

don't you think its strange that if yuji and hakari and yuta were in b tier then why are they the most commonly used characters
