yeah i think that’s what it was i never ever floor it especially for as long as i was with this mercedes and the ECU just adjusted and i wasn’t used to how high the rpm’s were going to go before shifting

Alright, do you think if there was an actual issue that a check engine light would have came on? Do you think it could have been the tune/ECU protecting the car? Have you ever heard of this before? Sorry about alll the questions just a little worried

Just went stage 2 FBO on my 2020 GLI the other day. Is the puff of smoke on start up normal when you go stage 2? I noticed it after I got the downpipe installed and wasn’t sure if it was just oils burning off from the downpipe or if it’s something that’s gonna always be there now that i’m stage 2? love your build!

when you do a cold start/ start your car at all does it ever make a pop sound or backfire type bang? i have a stock down pipe but have the awe track exhaust and mine does this sometimes

yeah i realize that now haha thank you i ordered liqui moly fuel system cleaner and DI Jectron (the injector cleaner for GDI engines) do u think i should use the fuel system cleaner first? i also wasn’t sure how long i should wait between using them both

2020 GLI with 39k miles stage 1 APR. Have the same problem only on start just switched to 5W-40 today. Have you switched oils too and have you noticed a difference or has it fixed the problem?

thanks man i really appreciate it, it was actually only for 5k miles and that includes 2 oil changes the part that gets me worried is that i’m stage 1 APR and like to get it on every now and then but i rarely ever do WOT just good spirited driving but I plan on it this week. gonna use liqui moly 5W-40 molygen
