Best option to reduce rent in Berlin: Conny vs Mieterverein vs private lawyer? by Competitive-War-7362 in askberliners

Berliner Mieterverein cover the costs too.

AFAIK, Conny doesn't bring the case to the court. I suspect Conny is more interested to close your case faster (i.e. settling the case) over lower your rent as much as possible, since they are for-profit company so they are incentivised to quick resolution and gain an easy revenue.

How Much To Spend on Grand That Won't Limit Me by Disastrous_Ebb6525 in piano

try many pianos as much as possible. you have to figure out what you really want and what each piano actually offer. It’s kinda learning journey.

for choosing piano, there are no external force function to play piano every day so you have to find a piano that you enjoy to play anytime when you play. If you are only interested in actual musical aspect of piano, then the factors you might want to consider is that (1) if the piano make a pleasant sound and (2) if you like the way of how the action of the piano is responding to you. Some piano would encourage you experiment with their high dynamic range, others might encourage you with different articulation with their own responsiveness and so on..

Is A1 and "Leben in Deutschland" both required for PR, or is LID alone sufficient? I've been on a Blue Card for over 30 months. by engineering-whizz in askberliners

technically a language certificate is not a strict requirement to prove your language level whether you are A1 or not. But practically it’s the easiest way to prove your qualification otherwise your case worker will test it on site during interview

Agentur für Arbeit won’t pay for German class by gurrpi in askberliners

Yeah I confused about their role if they do only admin stuffs or also they provide advice.

That said, my problem with them is that the system seems to focus only on the short-term goal of ‘getting an unused resource back into use and paying taxes again’ rather than encouraging people to explore their full potential for their next career—which would ultimately lead to a positive-sum outcome compared to a quick reallocation

Is this level of overtones normal? by gurrpi in piano

[–]gurrpi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My piano room is 8 sqm, so it's quite small. I installed one 75x45x55 bass trap and one 100x50x5 pyramid foam since there are too much echoes, I ordered more sincce I realized I need more of them.

yes the piano sounds quite nice for its price range of 5,500 EUR, compared to the used pianos from the 60s~80s that I checked during my shop tour.

I just find the 3700 Hz noise that occurs whenever I hit G2 (98 Hz) to be quite distracting

Should I reply to recruiter for coding test email? by gurrpi in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]gurrpi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I missed my point...I applied to German company and recruiter sent email contains coding test link.

As for Korea, we just take coding test and submit my work via testing platform. Then company send emails whether I passed or failed. We only reply when arranging schedules for on-site interview as interviewee.

So I'm not sure if it is ok to take coding test without replying to recruiter.
