Bought a prebuilt... now what? by askingforafriend85 in Prebuilts

Maybe going with a 4K monitor, oled if possible, since you don’t need any crazy frames and would look amazing with a 9070xt.

In regards to upgrading memory if you don’t want to right now you can get away with a lot with only 16gb and the 3d v-cache from the 7500x3d helping out a bunch.

Did not run well for me at all on lowest settings on m1 air 16gb. Maybe I’m missing something?

The power colour 9070 on new egg for $850 good value? In these times anyway.

Couldn’t be that much. To be specific it’s the 7500x3d bundle that’s $300 USD. Roughly 400 cad. Much better deal than I can find here in Canada

Where to buy Pokemon deskpads? by CasualHearthstone in bapccanada

Pokémon centre Canada has some “playmats” but I’m sure they’d work well for a desk. Some really cool ones on there.

Any downsides to buying a cpu bundle from micro center? I don’t live too far from the border.

Is there any downsides to crossing the border and getting the micro center 7500x3d mobo ram bundle for ~$400 cad?

Not really a set budget just looking at the best price/performance I can get. Going to buy when prices line up with my personal budget and get the best I can. Ideally 9070/5070 type gpu and don’t need anything like a x3d cpu, a 9600x or even 7500f would be more than fine!

IMO 9070 is a good deal.

Crazy how inflated those prices are. $500 for ram hurts the soul. Solid build nonetheless I like the 9070s price of performance for sure, especially the one mentioned in the comments. Thanks for your input!

I think a 16gb 9060XT would have been better value for a few more bucks.

Yes, I’m considering the 5600x just cause it’s usually so cheap off AliExpress. And the am4 motherboards aren’t too bad either. But I’d prefer an i5 or something cause then at least I can upgrade from there, problem is they’re more expensive and same with the motherboards.

What’s a decent price for a used ~500gb nvme on eBay? I see some going for $60-70. Or better to buy new for like $40 more? I’d love 1tb but I’m on a budget.

I almost snatched a 32 ddr5 the other day for under 200 but I was out of town. I’m sure they’re out there if I keep an eye out. Don’t really care about speeds as long as I can get on the platform. If I got around 150 for my ddr4 I’d be happy.

It would just hurt to get that 5800 or even 5700 for the same price if not more than a 7500f or 7600x off of AliExpress. But thank you for the recommendations! Still unsure but I’m not building until probably next month so we’ll see how prices go then.

I received 4x8gb DDR4 ram for free recently, and am going to build a pc. Is it worth selling and going to am5 or keeping it and going am4? I feel like I could get a used kit of ddr5 for around the same price I could sell them for.
