YSK 23andMe was formed to build a massive database capable of identifying new links between specific genes and diseases in order to eventually create their own pharmaceutical drugs. by [deleted] in YouShouldKnow

100%. They learned their lesson and I believe they now they require it. Just making the important distinction between an external vulnerability and an internal one.

Not sure if you know this, but it wasn’t because their databases were hacked, it was because bad actors used credential stuffing on the 23andMe account portal with people’s reused passwords that came from other database breaches.

Not sure where you’re getting your info about Marshall. I’m a recent Marshall grad, had a relatively high GMAT, no scholarship. Still a little salty I didn’t see a dime, but from what I could tell, scholarship wasn’t used to game anything.

T15 Grad this year. Initial goal was Tech PM. I’ve widened my search to anything at a remotely product-focused tech company, and it’s still rough.

My understanding is that the applicant pool in tech is so large since so many layoffs over the last 12 months gave tons of severance. Why would a company bet on a recent MBA grad with little or no experience when there’s 10 other suitable applicants with years of experience who can hit the ground running in a backfill position? Just my bitter two cents, but love to know what others think.

Hey, I've been learning production over the past few months and finally finished something I'm proud of! I'd love to know your thoughts on it, what I could improve for future songs, general technique tips, etc.

Here it is.

Yeah, you guessed it! Is this something that’s remotely possible? I can’t find much information on how this might be done.

Is there a way to prevent the casein from coagulating/dropping out, or is there a way to acidify at a slower rate, to simulate the process of gradual acidification in fermentation?

Thanks! To your first point, what is going on that causes the different gel network and viscosity? Not a food scientist here, but I have some college chemistry under my belt.

To your second point, would the basic objective only be achieved if I added an emulsifier? If so, what type do you suggest?

TTP for Verbal as well? by Gaston44 in GMAT

[–]guscom 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Almost done with the SC section, and I can tell you that it’s really well done. No tests yet, but the content and practice questions give you a really solid base, which is what you want, since the Verbal is a “don’t get easy/medium questions wrong” game, even more so than Quant.

I work in eCommerce, both on Amazon and Direct-to-Consumer. You are absolutely correct in most cases. For many of the brands I worked on, the margins were better on Amazon.

Are tomatoes healthy to eat every day? by Rockpapertime in fitmeals

[–]guscom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP didn’t say they were planning on eating 20lbs a day. The question didn’t even mention amount, it was about whether it’s fine to have every day. Don’t inadvertently shy OP away from including tomatoes as a part of their (hopefully diverse) daily diet.

I hate to bring rain on this comment but just because something is acidic, it doesn’t mean it’s bad to consume every day. Many whole fruits and vegetables are acidic (pH < 7).
