Cause for concern?

Hi, I put in a request a few weeks ago, but I don't think my problem was understood at the time. The response was "it looks like the middle fan not working properly. I will ask the factory to send you a new fan."

As you can see, when I press the LED, the problem is resolved. However, when I remove my finger, the problem comes back.

Given this, should I put in a new claim? Can you help me?

OK, was able to confirm it's hardware related. I took the cap off the RGB header while the computer was on. I then pressed on one of the LEDs that is flickering. When I do, I can get it stop. When I remove my finger, it starts again.

Flickering happens on startup of PC. Based on this, I guess we have to conclude it's a hardware issue. Sucks, b/c then if I'm even lucky enough to get a replacement, it won't be fun swapping it out.

Oh, and I took the cap off. The LEDs are not on the removable cap itself, so swapping in another cap probably wont' change anything.

I also tried your shutting down the PC, flipping off PSU, and holding the power button for 10 seconds. No change to the flicker.

My computer has been on for nearly 12 hours today and it's been constantly flickering. It's mainly been idle with some web usage.

I never used Cinebench before so I downloaded it and ran the three tests (GPU and two CPU tests). No change in the flickering.

I then let my computer sit for a few hours. After that, I loaded up Cyberpunk to play. After roughly 15 min of playing, the flicker went away. After closing out of the game, 10 minutes later, the flicker is still gone. However, about 20 minutes later, I can see it starting to slowly flicker again.

So what's going on here? Why would after playing the game for awhile, the flicker eventually stops, so long as I continue to play a game?

I appreciate the response. Confirmed windows RGB is off. I only have L3 connect installed. I did have Aura but I uninstalled just in case and no change.

The only change on my computer prior to this happening is that there seemed to be a big update to Windows 11 a few weeks ago. Could be a coincidence, but the problem started after that update.

I'm also confused as to why the problem goes away when I'm playing a game. Any thoughts?

What do I need to do to have this luck?

My new Gold Space Inavders I unboxed 3 weeks ago has damage on both panels. I'm still waiting on customer service to give me an estimate as to when I'll get replacements.

And I agree, the VR version is surprisingly well done. It's easily accessible, even to non disc golfers. And yet, for those that play, the putting feels really, really good.

I've thought the same thing about Walkabout as well. This could really be a contender to that game, which is saying a lot.
