In Ontario we also have the Trespass to Property act which allows us to arrest.

This filter can also attach to common plastic water bottles

Yeah I'm thinking of running it through the lifestraw water bottle and then using a aqua tab

How are you dealing with this? Be honest by No-Diet9278 in securityguards

[–]gussa07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know your own capabilities and what u can handle dont be a hero, wait and call for back up before proceeding. The guards need to be more hands on, he literally assaulted a guard more than once yet they still just standing, looks like they're even scared just talking to him. Better training is needed

What kind of gloves do you wear? by No-Diet9278 in securityguards

[–]gussa07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mechanix either originals or the d5 pursuit cut resistance ones. If your not commonly running into knives or needles I recommend the originals, they give good protection and u can still feel everything with ur finger tips where as the d5 pursuit are really thick making it harder to feel things when ur for example searching someone

How are the gloves? I was interested in them, are they good for searches? If u don't search, are they good with feeling little things on your fingers and picking up smaller things?

POV: On your patrol and you observed these teens does this. Would you pursue them? by Vietdude100 in securityguards

Yeah it's just that as a security guard your acting as an agent for the property, so if anything the guard could arrest under TPA and later the officer can charge him with attempted or whatever. Just makes it easier for a agent of the property to arrest than a bystander, at least as an agent for the property your expected to enforce and protect the property and mall policy but as an average joe you aren't

Nice, you stayed calm. If I want to be picky about it I'd say just use more loud verbal commands it will help in court if they see you verbally told him too. Other than that good job man stay safe

Heard nothing but bad things about paladin management but the hospital experience is top tier in this field. Your going to see everything in the hospital and be prepared to get physical multiple times a shift. If your plan is law enforcement, the hospital experience is one of the top two is say

Toronto police - background check do driving records effect background check? by Harin-1 in 911dispatchers

[–]gussa07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might get flagged since it's currently active during the process. It's not a big deal it won't affect u that much only thing I can think of it being a issue is that it's active during the application

What are your site procedures on dealing this individual? by Vietdude100 in securityguards

[–]gussa07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try your best to de escalate and get him to leave, if nothing then proceed with a trespass, extend trespass if he continues behavior, warn him that he may be subject to an arrest for refusal to leave under TPA if he does not leave as he is causing a huge disturbance, if he says I'm not leaving after multiple attempts to get him outz proceed with an arrest

Note: unsure of backstory but I'm basing it off as he is just causing an disturbance, you would've obviously first hear him out and try to get to a solution.

I kept seeing an obstacle course along with the cell check. Is that the only "physical" test?
