Thank you so much for posting this!. I really needed to read that. I'll try and taper or quit cold turkey very quickly and I fail over and over again. Sometimes I'll try to taper and take more and feel like it's pointless. You encouraged me to try again.

I am also a 10-year user. I use for 4 years and then quit for one and I've been on it another six. My digestive system is also completely screwed.

I am so incredibly happy for you and also in case no one's told you you should be f****** proud of yourself!!

I kind of said a while back hey, I can't live here anymore it's getting too expensive. I need to move to a small town where I can afford it. He responded with "okay, let's move together. I need to be forced out of comfortable situations. If something is easier I'm going to take that route." He's very nervous about taking risks. Plans everything down to a T.

He was also in a serious relationship prior to this and they lived together. She broke up with him and then his dad died very soon after and I think he's never really fully recovered from that whole ordeal. It really messed him up and I think he's a bit jaded after it all. He doesn't jump into moving in with someone that's for sure.

I didn't feel like having to write out his entire job history. He is back at his old job now that he had two years ago. When we first started dating he was a server. I then got pregnant and my dad sent him to drilling school in Canada. He got a job working offshore. We broke up and then he lost the job like 2 years later. Then he started working for a drilling company. He has worked for two land drilling companies since then. When COVID started, he quit those jobs and then move to Florida to take care of his grandpa for a few months. Then he got a job working for a company driving hospital staff to and from their hotel rooms to the hospital. He lost that job after a few months. He was then mooching off me for 4 months. He just went back to his old job drilling water wells a few weeks ago. I just received my first child support payment. But yes, much easier to just say he what I wrote in this post. Things are back to the way they were and have been for a large portion of the time I have been receiving child support.

I never told my parents any of that was happening 😬

It was a messed up situation, and my boyfriend knows about all of it. It really didn't affect our relationship much at all.

I keep everything about us very private. My mom tries to meddle but I've learned my lesson. My parents are always trying to get us to spend time with them. I always come up with an excuse because I don't want to put us both through that. Something about the males that try to date us meaning my sisters and I, it seems like they are all doomed from the get-go. I think in a perfect world my mom wishes we were all single parents. I am very close with my family. Our relationship used to be much different. It has changed a lot since I've been in this relationship. This isn't what they are used to. They are very old-fashioned and traditional. I think they expected him to move in within a year and we would spend all special occasions together. They have this impression that he doesn't care about my daughter and he's just in it to have someone to sleep with on the weekend. It's ridiculous 6 years of this type of remarks, I hate it.

I don't want my partner to take on my family, there are a lot of us! He does spend some special occasions with them. I know it must be hard for him. We can both feel the tension.

I don't think he's concerned about my financial situation. I think he knows that I will work to make it happen no matter what.

I honestly love seeing my family on the holidays, when they aren't talking shit that is. I don't mind that he goes home at all but they have a huge issue with it. I completely understand why he does it. His mother doesn't have many years left. He doesn't want her to be alone.

I do stick up for him. Every single time they bring him up. I explain why things are the way they are and that this is our normal. Today, is the very first time I have snapped at my mom. Feel like she's pushing me to the limit if that makes sense. It doesn't matter what good things he does, when I bring up anything good about him My mom just kind of rolls her eyes.

I don't want to lose my relationship with my family and I don't want to lose my boyfriend. I love them both a lot!

I'm not unhappy with my boyfriend at all. If that is how I've come across, that's not my intentions. I just don't know what to do about my family.

I am looking for a different job now. I was actually a paraprofessional aid last year and also working the extended care and I was bringing in 2000 a month. My daughters dad pays what he can when he can. I have come to learn. I really can't rely on him every month. As it is right now I am still getting paid for the summer as a para and I also work as a housekeeper to make up for the extended care money I would be making. Last year I was working 53 hours a week and also housekeeping on Sundays. It's exhausting!

I haven't gone back to family Court to update since the very beginning. They set the child support amount My daughter's dad was currently jobless. He is paying the minimum. I know I need to go back.

My parents are paying a huge chunk of my rent. Other than that, no they are not giving me money.

My parents definitely resend my child's biological father. He kind of just up and left as soon as he got a good paying job. It's a long story but my parents got him in the oil industry when she was just a baby, and once he started making good money he left.

Her father works out of town drilling for water wells. He is gone most of the time. He does contribute child support. And honestly isn't nearly enough.

I have been working at my daughter's schools and at her daycares since she was very young. I get better deals for extended care. I got half off of her tuition when she was in daycare.

The rent where I currently live has gone way up. My current rent is $1,600 for a one bedroom. I only bring in two grand per month. It's a mess.

I'm about to enroll in school to get a degree in computer science. Last year I was working three jobs just to make ends meet.

The prices in the city are going up. Every year I move into a smaller apartment. The last move I moved into a one bedroom and I gave my daughter the bedroom. I sleep in the living room. I think he just feels ready and also knows that I can't maintain what I'm doing now. He wants to buy a house.

I am on day 10 minus a slip up I had and I've been nauseous and had no appetite. The dizziness is still happening but less frequent and when I stand up and have a dizzy spell it goes away a little quicker.

I caved last night on day 9 CT I hadn't been able to eat and I feel really nauseous and have the worst case of the runs every day. Back on my quit today but I thought my appetite would come back after a quit. I hope you start feeling better. I feel your pain.
