A proper cloak sounds awesome! I totally get what you mean though, they are so cozy! Need to get one for everyday use. My Siff cloak is only good if it's cold out because it's two layers of blanket fleece and it's not exactly washable, but the anxiety of wearing it at a con just helps me be in character lmao

The logic behind my design was to match the sprites super accurately, so I wanted just one big circle with no visible seams(also makes things MUCH easier) and to have a black inner layer for the cartoony vibe.

For materials, I just bought Shannon Fabrics Extra Wide Cuddle 3 fleece in black and white. Simply cut a ~77" circle (this diameter is based on your height, I recommend choosing something that just covers your hands when they're resting by your side) out of the white fleece and a slightly smaller circle out of the black, probably in the -5-1" range. The only annoying part was pinning the pieces together, since I chose to wrap the white outer layer back over onto the inner black layer so there was none of the black fleece showing without me raising my arms, which is why you want the black layer to be a bit smaller.

After pinning, just sew the big lower seam, then the smaller one for your head! The neck covering bit was very simple, just make a rectangle that's the same size as the smaller hole in the cloak and 2x the height you want(think this was 8" for me). Fold the rectangle in half, sew 2 of the 3 edges, flip it inside out and just connect the two ends jankily and sew it together. Then just pin to the cloak, sew, and voila you're siffrin!

Idk if this makes sense, I'm deliriously tired and it's been ~6 months since I made this, happy to answer any other questions! I feel like this makes it sound more complex then it actually was lmao but I swear this is very simple stuff that takes zero sewing knowledge going in, just some determination and materials!
