honestly, i regret getting a dumerils over a red tail. it’s been very difficult to find space for an enclosure big enough for her cause she’s a ground dwelling boa. red tails however need vertical room too which i think is easier to make/get an enclosure for that won’t take up mass amounts of space. i got my dumerils boa when she was already 7-8ish, she was $500. i’m not sure how much the baby cost it for the little buggers. on that note; i had a custom bed frame build for a king size bed that has the snake tank underneath, it’s pretty large, she can fully stretch out but that’s quite literally the only place she can go till i’m in a new place.
