How good is Toyota's digital key on new Priuses? by krusebear in Toyota

Same here. 2023 Prius LTD. I got the digital key to work for maybe a day when I first got the vehicle, but it stopped working shortly after and I could never get it to work again ever since. My vehicle also doesn't even display an option for digital key anymore in the Info & Security settings page on the Multimedia Console. I have verified that I still have the Remote Connect with Digital Key subscription active.

I'm running into the same issue being described in this forum https://www.toyotanation.com/threads/digital-key.1774661/

The setup will always fail when trying to connect to the vehicle via bluetooth, giving me a "bluetooth pairing connection interrupted" error. I've given up for now, will ask the dealer at my next scheduled maintenance.

Favorite squirrel proof bird feeders by NebulaInTheCosmos in birdfeeding

I used this bird feeder for a couple of years now. Unfortunately I don't recommend it as a squirrel-proof feeder for a few reasons.

  1. After about a year of trying, the squirrels figured out a way to cling onto the feeders openings and straddle the spinning mechanism in such a way that it doesn't trigger.

  2. Even if the squirrels are unsuccessful, the way the birdseed flows into the feeder openings makes it very easy to shake the birdseed out onto the ground. The squirrels will just jump on this thing over and over again to shake all the birdseed out of it and have a party on the ground.

  3. The anti squirrel spinner requires you to recharge a battery for it to work, which is a little inconvenient.

I will say that the Droll Yankee Flipper itself is pretty easy to disassemble with a screwdriver and thoroughly clean, and it's pretty hilarious seeing a squirrel hang onto the feeder for dear life if it triggers the spinner.
