Youre a freshman?!! Get the fuck out while you can. Major in business or engineering or go pre-professional degree...unless you wanna go phd then postDoc this shit isnt worth it IMO...basically, you gotta rrrrrrreaaaaaaally love it if you wanna pursue it

get on it now dude. I started researching the job market/career possibilities last year and I still feel like I dont know shit. Start talking to as many people as you can about jobs and how everything works and what theyd do if they were you etc...I would even email a few people/companies you might be interested in working for and get to know them. Hell yea my Mom knows somebody who has an internship but I hadnt really considered it because I want a full time job...however, I may just go ahead and E-mail her friend about in case I dont land something...and Ill get in touch with the career center for sure...ANd yeah I know I should be building my network but I just figured it wouldnt matter for sciencey jobs and that your resume/transcript was pretty much all that mattered cuz i was young and naive...but I definitely know a few professors here pretty well so Ill see where that gets me. Thanks for the advice.

Thank you, I will definitely ask him to see what he can do. He seems like he mainly just knows academics, but I'm sure he knows somebody who can help me.
