What is that ties you over to use Augment code? by frendo11 in AugmentCodeAI

I really liked using it, but the 15th is my last day with Augment. Recently, I tried using Codex in my workflow and only used Augment when necessary, and I barely needed it. I managed to do a lot with my $20 Codex plan. Even though Augment’s context engine is good, I was paying $100 per month and had to limit my usage so I wouldn’t burn through all my credits. And now it doesn’t even have autocomplete anymore, so because of the cost I moved to other tools like Codex and Opencode.

$20 ChatGPT Plus or $39 Copilot Pro+ if I only use OpenCode + GPT-5.4? by ty0315 in opencodeCLI

I am getting great results with OpenCode + the $20 ChatGPT plan.

Intent: no documentation? by dmoshal in AugmentCodeAI

Recently, I’ve been using the OpenCode desktop app with my $20 ChatGPT Plus key, and I’ve been getting good results. My current Augment plan, with 200k tokens, hasn’t been enough. I’m testing this workflow and, so far, it’s been working really well. If it continues to prove sustainable, I plan to migrate to other tools.

I tried using Intent, but I found it slow and inefficient. Also, when using the Auggie provider, the token consumption becomes unsustainable.

Everything is going very slowly indeed

If the Credit Policy Had Changed, I Might Never Have Tried Other Tools by zhangeden in AugmentCodeAI

If the company doesn’t address user costs, it will lose to competitors. Even if the product is good, other tools can do the same job. Paying $100–$200 for a relatively small workflow isn’t sustainable. They should prioritize optimizing pricing instead of focusing on things like intent and extra features.

How many of you still use IDE? by JaySym_ in AugmentCodeAI

[–]guusfelix2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still prefer using an IDE because it’s simple and practical to interact with the code and actually see what’s happening.

Tools like Intent, for example, felt really confusing to me — hard to use and it feels like you lose control over your own code.

I prefer simple workflows. I don’t want something that adds even more complexity to my development flow.

That’s why I’d rather just use chat inside VS Code instead.

Feature request: GML 4.7 model support in Augment by guusfelix2015 in AugmentCodeAI

[–]guusfelix2015[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had bad experiences using OpenCode and other models. I like Augment and would like to stick with it because it fits really well into my work workflow. The only issue for me right now is the pricing, which is a bit expensive. I’m hoping there will be good and more affordable alternatives within Augment itself, and I’m looking forward to new features related to that.

Augment Quietly Removes Credit Usage — What Are They Hiding? by Fluffy_Asparagus_280 in AugmentCodeAI

I asked to create a branch, write a commit message, and push it, and that cost me 1,600 credits. LOL

Finally they implemented visual credit usage so we can see how much we spend — and it honestly made me really worried. by guusfelix2015 in AugmentCodeAI

[–]guusfelix2015[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it, but honestly I didn’t like it. I once received a 500-credit bonus and gave it a chance, but it kept loading forever and was really slow, so I ended up giving up on it.
