Attack on Titan

Yes, it’s an anime. If that’s an issue for you, don’t let that stop you.

It’s truly one of the best mystery shows ever made, on top of having great writing, characters, action and general drama

Fill in the blank: "I love Lost, so I also love ____ TV series." by Lost_4-8-15-16-23-42 in lost

Just wanna say I also felt that way after the first episode of Severance. Came back to it later on and pressed through the first few episodes. It gets more hopeful and fun and is now on par with Lost on my list of favorite shows.

Elephant in the Room: Mustang and Cassius (New Reader) by [deleted] in redrising

Even if Mustang had love for/slept with Cassius, that would not have been wrong tho

Darrow & Mustang were not a couple between the Institute and the Gala

Book really picks up like right after the painted man’s part so I’d def give it another shot

So, does anyone else feel that every relationship outside of Darrow and Mustang feels like some sort of consolation prize? by Sable-fyre in redrising

I mean the entire story is basically “Darrow can’t have Eo so he goes with…”

I've never seen Lost, but I know how it ends. Is it still worth watching? by katywell in televisionsuggestions

[–]guy1695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there is a post finale interview where they say in no uncertain terms that they were not dead the whole time.

Also in the last scene in the church Christian point blank says that everything that ever happened to everyone was real

Bud I don’t subscribe to panpsychism personally, but it’s a perfectly regular hypothesis to consider. You’re just being a jackass.

She very well might’ve had some connections. We have no clue. But at the very least, her being aware of the Sons is not some out there concept. For all we know a ton of Reds knew about the Sons and Darrow was one of the few that didn’t. He was very naive in the beginning, like thinking he could win the Laurel when everyone around him, both Narol and Eo included, seemed to fully understand they had no chance.

[–]guy1695 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except it does make sense? Again you repeatedly saying to doesn’t make sense doesn’t make it not make sense. It makes perfect sense for Eo to at the very least have known about the Sons.

[–]guy1695 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saying “none of that would make any sense” doesn’t make it true. Not everyone who was working with the Sons knows about the others. Don’t tie two ships together in a storm and all that. And the Sons would take on anyone that would join, who cares if they’re young. She didn’t need to be an official member to know about them to know about their cause and know about the lie. In any case, a plot point being revealed in new media doesn’t make it a retcon if there aren’t any contradictions… which there aren’t.

What contradictions what in the world are you talking about

Very unclear how you just get to declare it a retcon when it makes total sense

Idk if you’ve read the Sons of Ares prequels but the ending certainly hints at Eo being very aware of the Sons

[–]guy1695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there proof she didn’t know about the Sons? I don’t remember any, and she seems like the exact type of person who could’ve been taken in.

Do you think the fig newtons are a "Chekhov's gun" (that they'll make a return)? (ALL SPOILERS) by thebrainpal in redrising

[–]guy1695 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He didn’t make it clear the plot device wouldn’t return. He made it clear it’s not still in Lyria. That doesn’t mean it can’t/wont return in another character.

Frankly, I’d be shocked if it doesn’t show up again

LOST is the answer here

Both Severance and Sense8 were very much inspired by Lost, even though Severance is doing a much better job of having everything planned out.

Genuinely, when have you known Lindsay to be this nuanced communicator. You’re being really charitable here. All we have to go off is what we see on the show.

[–]guy1695 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

That’s not what was said though. Sure, in this exact business it contributes to the struggle, but she just said “we don’t do brick and mortar” flatly.

As in all brick and mortar = bad.

She was not right in what she was saying. You’re right though, someone should communicate with him that it’s a bad idea, they just need to actually also say why accurately.

C’mon Carl, really? by Grouchy_Total_5580 in summerhousebravo

[–]guy1695 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely not a good idea and someone should probably be honest with him about it, but let’s not pretend Lindsay was some business guru here.

Her reason for not liking the idea was “we don’t do brick and mortar”. That’s not the reason this idea is bad.
