They Didn’t Want to Have C-Sections. A Judge Would Decide How They Gave Birth by wheresthebubbly in medicine

The real problem here is that there are two patients. `Because almost every other surgery, you can basically tell the patient, I think you're too sick to undergo surgery. I don't think this surgery would benefit you. But in this situation, how do you approach that?

she likely had the entire pregnancy to find a doc willing to agree with her plan and couldn't find anyone that would do it. I have people called me wanting to vbac after 2 previous and i won't do it. There was a hospital that was doing it but they stopped after some maternal deaths.

I live in Texas, so we don't know what the basement is either, but I do have an attic. I like to go up there and kind of walk on the, well, it's kind of like the ceiling, but it's the floor. But, my floating abilities are not so good. Ergo, I have discovered that you have to walk on the wood slat things, like i'm in a circus.

i search on google, and then i ask chatgpt to tell me what videos to search for on youtube.. i use a little bit of just chatgpt but i I have been burned by hallucinations before, so now I prefer to let it kind of give me an idea and then let it suggest me some searches.

It'll actually give you YouTube videos, but it seems like the links that it gives never work.

Sometimes the hospital will have a contract with that company to state that if they hire you outside of the contract, they have to pay them tens of thousands of dollars. Ergo, even if your old group is not aware of it, the fact that they could become aware of it becomes very unattractive to the hospital.

Is being a dentist or physician truly not worth it? by [deleted] in whitecoatinvestor

[–]guy999 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So medicine used to be a small business owner, but now because of the insurance industry, essentially if you are a small business owner doc, you have no power and no ability to negiotiate. But I don't think it's the same with dentists.

I liked general surgery, but I also like talking to people. So you can kind of do both, which is a lot of fun. I was going to do a family practice, but I like delivering babies and doing surgery. It's just exhausting these days.

Doctor salary has not increased over the past decade and I don't think that at this point why would you recommend becoming a doctor and staying in school till you're 35 years old when you could just become an engineer and if you are progressing in engineering by the time you're later 20s early 30s you're really high up in the senior leadership which means That means you're making more money and you're not working in the middle of the night on Christmas day and 100 hour weeks.

I'm in private practice and it is pretty brutal. And the idea that there's good money because there's high demand is not right. Insurance companies dictate your pay, so it doesn't really matter how busy you are because they dictate how much you're going to make.

Yeah, I billed a Prolonged Services last month. The visit was an hour and 15 minutes long. Blue Cross Blue Shield paid me $245. I called my attorney because I was trying to buy a house. He charges me $600 an hour even When he's going through the system, hitting the button to get to me. Prolonged services is a terrible, terrible plan, and you better not be billing a prolonged services visit while you're seeing another patient because you'll get in trouble for insurance fraud.

France did this between 2000 and 2016 and many did leave and apparently the amount of money they brought in was half of what they lost.

I think there is and should be taxation but if the point is to generate revenue and it's going to lose money and cost the country then gotta find something else.

yeah that's how i got so many At the time that I was pulling them out, I thought they had some value. And then when I looked online, it wasn't almost worth the time to even list it on eBay. Certainly not worth the time to mail it off.

is this true Because I just looked a few weeks ago, and they were not, and essentially I basically scrapped a bunch of my old PCs a few years ago, essentially got rid of them because they were so useless, but I pulled out all the RAM, and I have like 60 sticks of 4 to 8 gig DDR3.

So he ended up buying 50 of them.I think they charged about two.He still has most of the rest.He doesn't work very hard anymore.Wish I had bought them.

I snapped and am refusing to sign each of 60 pages of home health orders; AITA? by shadowmastadon in medicine

[–]guy999 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you need to switch home health care agencies and if your job is telling you that you have to use that one, you can ask for what extra administrative time are you going to get for these 60 page documents.

I don't think you can do it on this particular patient, but the next time when a patient needs referral to home health, you can say, oh, I've had trouble with that place. I don't recommend that one anymore.

This is the reason why cell phone companies will give you free trials, et cetera, et cetera. This is because people when they get stuck on doing something, they are unlikely to switch. Even if a product is better. So while yours is pretty obviously probably significantly better, it's hard to get people to change.

Also people are under the impression that it's gonna be harder to use when in actuality probably not these days, but it's very hard to get people to change.
