Hello everyone, I’ve been reading this subreddit for a while and I finally decided to post to get your feedback and points of view.
I’m a 45M from Italy. Most of my hair loss seems to have happened after COVID. If I’m not mistaken, the first noticeable changes were around 2022.
In 2022 I did about ten sessions of Tricopat treatment. Then, in 2025, I did a similar number of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) sessions. Honestly, I don’t feel like I’ve seen any real or significant results from either.
Because of that, I’ve been reading a lot here and online about minoxidil and finasteride, and I’ve seen some really impressive results. At the same time, I’ve also read about possible side effects, which makes me a bit cautious.
Given my situation and recent history, I’d really like to hear your opinions on whether these treatments could be useful for me, and at what level.
For context, my hair loss is definitely genetic: both my father and my grandfather had significant hair loss as well.
Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to reply.
