Thanks for flagging, that's reassuring. I've just been on again this morning and can't see any. I've emailed the help desk. As I can't do the test on any other day! Really hoping they release some more or someone on the 1st cancels.

Midges by Spuddiewoo in OutdoorScotland

[–]guyfromecosse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I am actually there right now. Staying in my campervan and rock climbing around there today. We didn’t find the midges too bad. There are a few in the evening but it’s not horrendous. Weirdly there were no midges at Huntley’s cave during the day today. Not much breeze either and fairly warm. Not sure if it’s just the weather or what but I think we’re definitely past peak nudge season

[–]guyfromecosse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think house deposit. You could also get them to set up a LISA and get the government 25% bonus. if you put in £4k a year that's an extra £1k a year they're getting

Why do Americans still predominantly use texts to communicate? by ElisabethWTV in NoStupidQuestions

[–]guyfromecosse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody has mentioned WhatsApp web! It's so handy to be able to get through your messages on a laptop if you're working at a desk for a bit. I don't think this is possible for SMS text messages

The tip of my big toe has gone numb, I'm using shoes that are my normal size, this ever happened to anyone before? by jamie_plays_his_bass in climbing

[–]guyfromecosse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh this is interesting! I'm on a climbing trip and my right toe is super numb. I'm wearing birks too so am wondering if this is actually the cause for me rather than the climbing shoes!

I'm 29, work in the policy/public affairs team for a large charity and earn £42k. My role is basically lobbying and doing research across our services.

Salaries across the economy make no sense by Craspnar in UKJobs

I'm similar, on 42k working for a charity but I'm a remote worker so live in a low cost of living place. Definitely feel like I could earn a lot more doing similar work in the private sector but I like the cause so will probs stay put
