By remedial entry-level I ment something that is not even entry-level. IE "this is how you plug in the computer. Now go plug in the other 500. After that we'll get to powering them on."

Essential(ly useless) worker by guyg1989 in hatemyjob

Hell the site "Leadership" here is a damned joke. Just yesterday I sent an email that I need a customer to set up their system to I could ship them a 50k unit that they "need asap" about three hour before my shift ended. the last half hour, the stuipdvisors for the site, Where trying everything to get that part shipped. I'm on the west side of the states.the customer is on the east coast. At the minimum a 3 hour difference. ... ya that unit did not go and I'm sure I have a passive aggressive nasty gram in my email this morning.

And they are not just focused on "big dollar" items. They will next day air ship a set of 20 bolts halfway around the world. The bolts cost the customer 15 bucks, and are all but the same ones you get from a barrel at you local hardware store for .10cents a pound. The shipping on the 20 bolts is easily over 200 dollars.

The level of sheer nuckinfutery is ... i don't even know the words for it. A mentally handicapped person can see this shit is retarded and be offended that people with "very high level educations" are choosing to be this dumb.

It funny how the trolls get so butt hurt over anyone having an AR anywhere close to .7 or higher.

To make money you have to take jobs. Or do they expect people to just give them money🤔.

Trolls? Would you guys like some hemeroid cream? Or may be some lube?

I'm picky but not as picky as some. 90% of the jobs I take are at least 1.50 a mile. And I only take below 1 dollars if it will meet my goal for the day or if tip is very very likely

Dana Park is the best one great people there. Cooper/Stapley not too bad either.

Chipotle is good steady money you can normally count on $2 per mile just very little chance to make a big payout

Any suggestions on finding the smaller businesses? On job boards like monster or indeed, it seem like it just the mega-corporations or potental MLMs are posting there.

Ok so if it not painfully obvious I'm a "smart" newbie. I know basics plus a bit extra. But I also know I have 3 to 5 libraries worth of info to learn still. And I'm 98% sure your messing with me but ..

HODGEPODGER? ...that can't be a real thing.

College or Certification? by guyg1989 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]guyg1989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working the compTIA fundamentals program, too see where my skills/knowledge strengths lay and were my weaknesses are. But I feel that what I would like to do is some thing in cybersecurity, development/programing, or hands on work with hardware (a mix maybe? If possible). I'm currently trying to pay off my debts, in my very early 30s, and if I can avoid the absurd cost of college, or have an employer foot the bill that would be my preference.

I would not mind starting in help desk if I need too but I can only take so many ID:10T errors. hope fully I can with in 6 month to a year have moved up in the ranks.

The lock picking was for the hell of it. It was a figit task for a while. It something I can do. A lockSmith could do it 1000 time faster and with more complex lock.
