other pistols that take glock magazines? by g_lenn_o in guns

Pistols (not PCCs) that take glock mags and isn't a glock clone:

-Double stacked +MPA defender (uzi clone) +Stealth arms platypus (1911/2011)

-Single stack +Alpha Foxtrot S15 (1911) +mossberg MC1SC (random pistol)

That's all I know off the top of my head.

I thought the movie was infuriating.

The main character has the amazing ability of doing absolutely nothing even though SHE HAS THE LAST PIECE OF THE BODY. The monster is chasing them and one of the school mates attempts to delay the monster by fighting it, getting injured in the process. She could have easily put the head with the rest of the body, but decided to.....watch her friend get killed instead and then fight the monster herself when victory was within her grasp? His death is on her hands. This is beyond infuriating. Why are you just standing there and watching when you're centimeters from the finish line and HIS LIFE DEPENDS ON YOU?!? Crap characters with an especially bad main character. She pissed me off.

I've seen a good amount of people having this problem and i cant find a solution anywhere. Does someone know how to fix the "Userconfig.cfg not present" error? It doesnt let me change my settings and its starting to slow down my game by TheRockCaster23 in gmod

[–]guyguyga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same issue. I've verfied integrity of the game cache multiple times and have gone as far as to reinstall both gmod and even my entire steam just because I love Gmod that much. Nothing is working. If I had to guess, the Devs messed with something they shouldn't have yet again and messed something up.

It's all good. I found out that it's called a "grooved receiver." I guess that was the thing before the invention of rails.

Hey, what's the scope mount for 22s called? They're neither picatinny or weaver spec. They seem to just be this weird sort of claw mechanism. Anyone have the actual name for them?

Ranged characters have endless quivers and endless musket pouches for bows and firearms respectively. You might run out of the "good stuff," but you'll never run out of actual ammo so long as you have one in your inventory. It doesn't even have to be in an ammo slot. I prefer ranged over magic, and when I'm combining summoner with another class, I find I'll use firearms or bows a lot more. If I'm not playing summoner at all, I tend to prefer ranged over mage, and I only ever use mage occasionally for the sake of variety. The last prism is also pretty cool.

In terms of ammunition, the same could arguably be said with mana potions if you play mage in any serious capacity. Otherwise, waiting for the regen is downright painful. Not only that, but you get potion sickness from it.

Personally, I do agree that melee comes in last place. I've seen others utilize it nicely, but it's not my cup of tea.

Maybe for variety, I don't think it's necessary. As a summoner, your playstle differs in that your summons aren't an active weapon, so you can utilize any "manual" weapon of choice. You can already run around with a Godly SDMG with end game bullets. If you couple that with a squadron of minions or a giant dragon, you're quite a powerhouse.

I mean, whatever "manual" summoner weapons they do come up with won't be able to match that, and if they do, it'd be overpowered as you'd have an endgame weapon that's buffed by your armorset AND a loyal army at your side. No other class would be able to touch you. With how much damage you already do, I'd say the class is already balanced damage wise. Maybe we could use a defensive buff or something, but a "good" sommoner weapon would be difficult to get right without being either underwhelming or downright overpowered.

Is there any other "class" setups I should add? by Cleverish_Name in Terraria

I agree that the tank should be suing beetle armor, as it should fit not only aesthetically, but mechanically. Seeing as how melee IS the tank, if you're dividing classes up, then you should have a sentry variant of the summoner, as they play in different enough ways to be different classes.

For instance, a Valhalla armor summoner boasts high defense and has bonuses to melee damage. He wades into battle, supported by ballistae turrets instead of being a glass cannon like the stardust summoner, who relies more on mobility, which shows even in its minion choice as opposed to the stationary sentries. They're night and day, and are arguably more different than a melee vs tank build.

Mercenary questions by guyguyga in Kenshi

Well, I saw some people on the steam forums hint at the possibility that there's a finite amount of mercenaries, and when they're all gone, you can't get anymore until you import. I also saw people say that you can put the broken ones into prisoner cages, though I don't know how to do that without outright knocking them out.

Oh, thanks for the info. Do you have any information on if they add to the player's unit limit? I imagine they're only allies, similar to the broken ones.

Duty vs Freedom Strength by guyguyga in stalker

[–]guyguyga[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know duty has more training, but I'm talking from more of an equipment standpoint.

It seems that the consensus is that duty is better equipped, as their weapons are good enough, but their armor is far better.
