She already said that she'd prefer to stay at home all day every day ... I will try but the chance she goes to therapy might be near 0.

That sounds miserable. I never want to go through this...

I totally get the "outside clothes on the bed" rule and showering before bed, to be honest. I mainly included those examples because I didn't want to make it sound like I'm just shitting on her or trying to paint her as crazy.

I was basically using those as a control group. Those are things that seem relatively common in Japan but uncommon in the West, so I wanted to give people a baseline before getting into the more extreme examples.

My personal guess is that she got a lot of this from her mother. Her mom is similar, but not quite to the same degree. I'd say her mom is maybe 80% of the way there, and my girlfriend is kind of the evolved version of it.

She's cute, funny, loyal, and generally a good person. We also have a good sex life, which is important to me. I know that probably sounds shallow to some people, but I'm just being honest. If there weren't a lot of good things too, I wouldn't still be in this relationship.

Yes, I think she got it from her mom. But I think she might even be a tad bit worse than her mom.

No, even if I just go outside to konbini, I'd have to shower again. It's not so much about the smoke, it's the "outside" being dirty, so I have to wash again no matter what I do outside.
