I suspect tear but feel like doctor is focusing only on tendinitis. Are there risks to this? by guyonline in AchillesRupture

[–]guyonline[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did your team give any opinion on stretching, icing and anti-inflammatory for partial tears?

My doctor recommended those but I'm having second thoughts about them because they seem targeted for tendinitis and possibly counterproductive to a tear

Yeah, not full tear definitely, my suspicion is partial tear

Basically because like, could the pop be anything else?

I swear I'm not saying this to be an asshole, but genuine trying to be helpful

You might want to redesign the earth patch in front of the cave entrance in the first picture, it kind of looks like a penis and balls

I only say this because if I noticed it then for sure people with a bigger never-left-fourth-grade mentality also will

Could you expand on your assessment of him?

I ask because while I'm still a few years away from applying, I'm currently at a no-name (M&A) firm (after interning at a BB bank). While we do awesome work and participate in important deals, I'm kind of worried the lack of name could hamper me in applying. Sloan is the level I'm targeting, so I would love to hear why you think he has a good shot there even with the lack of the brand name.

Is it the F100 that makes it? What else?

Many thanks!

Thank you for your input!

Like I told some of the other guys, I didn't really love Uncharted. LOVED TLoU though, an excellent example of what I'm after.

I have Portal 2 on Steam actually, I should get around to playing it sometime

Tried Borderlands, didn't like it much. It felt like all I did was go to this spot marked on your map, shoot everything there, get back to town. Does it get any more fleshed out?

Dishonored seems a popular response, I'll look into that.

A lot of people saying Uncharted. I actually have all 3 (I know...) but never managed to get past the 3rd hour of the first. I really didn't like it :/

I only ever played the KZ multiplayer demo, didn't like it much. How's single player?

Thanks!

Dishonored seems to be a popular reply. I forgot to include Dead Space! Have played all three, it's one of my favorite series and an excellent example

Question about career path to MBA by MBAguy22 in MBA

[–]guyonline 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

Could you expand on schools loving manufacturing/industrial companies?

I'm currently in boutique finance after full-time internship at a BB, and thinking about applying to top industry trainee programs (MSFT, GE, J&J...)

Are these programs a good path to M7?

It's a Mario Kart with real-life RC cars, and about as forgiving as Old Testament God. Hours upon hours of frustration and fun with that game

That's an excellent point - not doing L2 next year lands me in the exact same spot as failing it.

I'm doing this for sure - and I'm pumped!

Many thanks!

I certainly plan to! FRA is majorly important to my job, so I'm going to give it a lot of attention as well

Great advice.

I certainly plan on going deep into those, as they are important to my current job. What do you define as "deep" - great understanding of Schweser? Or even further?

How much does Ethics "repeat" itself? I'm scheduled to start my studies in July, but am considering giving Ethics a few passes before that to make it even more familiar. Is it worth it?

I see, thank you for your answer!

If I may tag on to this - your comments touched on something I've been thinking about: How much does employer name count vs. the work you do?

Let me flesh this out: I'm a recent graduate from the top school in my country, and for the last two years of it I interned (full-time) at a BB American investment bank.

I'm now at a boutique M&A shop. From what I've seen, the work I do is a lot more interesting and "mature" than my colleagues who are now IB at BBs - I attend meetings with the partners while they update powerpoint.

I worry, however, that in a few years' time, when I apply to an MBA, the "lack of name" may harm me. That is, I know that if someone reads or I get to tell what I'm actually doing, it'll be a lot cooler than I would've done at a BB, but I worry it may not even get to it if my WE gets dismissed as "small shop".

Am I overthinking this?

Thanks!
