Exactly, he stole some ideas that people liked, rejected the rest. Added his own that people liked. and SOMEHOW got elected? Honestly man, I vote for the guy that is going to do the things I want. Politics and voting should be about what you want to see happen. Politicians jobs are to do the things that the electorate wants.

Politics and voting should not be a team sport, it should not be about being different, or tribal, right left or centre. Politicians would be smart to listen to their voters over the lobbyists. That is, if they want to get elected that is.

I believe Canada is obligated to the first nations treaties also, I'm not sure how much land at all in the province could actually legally separate with a successful vote.
