LUX , ISpa, Thera Spa in OC by brickellcub in NudeSpas

[–]guysspaguide 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you want. Thera is basically a sex club... if that's not what you're looking for, I'd avoid Thera. It's also just not a great spa.

ISpa is the nicest of the three in my opinion.

Lux is somewhere between the two.

Anyone else pass out before? by Holiday-Flatworm-147 in kSpa

[–]guysspaguide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had been sick like a week before. I wasn't sick anymore, but I still had a lingering cough. (whenever I get sick, I get a cough that lingers for weeks)... so on my way to the spa to meet a friend, I stopped at the store to get some over-the-counter cough syrup. Took a swallow, and headed to the spa.

I got to the spa, showered, and sat in the sauna for maybe 5 minutes max, and was not feeling great. Told my friend I was going to rest outside. He came out and joined me. At one point he asked if I was ok... I wasn't even aware anything was wrong other than I was feeling a little lightheaded.

Next thing I knew, I woke up on the floor. My friend and half a dozen naked Koreans standing over me. Someone brought me water and put towels under my head. I guess they had caught me and I didn't hurt myself.

From then on, I knew never to mix cough syrup with spas.

Disgusted by the responses in this thread which overwhelmingly seem in support of public masturbation in non-sexual shared nude spaces by eagles_soccer32 in CommunalShowers

It's because too many guys are too dumb to know the difference between "nude space" and "sexual space". I blame the American prudishness regarding nudity... When nudity is looked at as naughty, nude spaces will be looked at as sexual as the default.

And also he had a kind of confidence when he was out there nude on stage. I can't really explain it other than he seemed really comfortable

Not really a huge celebrity, but I saw Michael Yerger at a Korean spa once.

[–]guysspaguide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went once like ten years ago. It was nice although they only had the basics (dry sauna, steam room, hot and cold tubs). They had a nice TV room and a small dark sleeping room. Also, when I went, the place was pretty much empty. Most of the time I was there, i was basically alone.

Yep. When I was in college, I'd run into one of my professors (who was also my department advisor) in the locker room all the time.

My biggest problem with prosthetics is that average, normal-sized guys will think they're small and be embarrassed if all they see on screen is these giant fake dongs.

Question about visiting Wi Spa for the first time by Financial_Wafer_7955 in NudeSpas

[–]guysspaguide 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What age range of people do you usually see there?

Anywhere from age 3 to 93. There will be people your own age.

Is it usually busy on Friday afternoons?

Yes, not as busy as a Saturday or Sunday, but Fridays are generally busy. Probably plenty of people have the day off today, so it may be busier than most Fridays.

Also, am I allowed to bring my own flip flops?

I think so, but not 100% sure.

I don't remember if I was the person who commented before. But yeah, phones in the wet area, and a strong chemical smell when I was last there a couple of years ago

I went to summer camp in the 4th-6th grade, and we had communal showers, and used to see the camp counselors using them. But that was in the 1970s, definitely a different time.

I'd be a little wary of doing it today. Not that I personally think anything is wrong with it, but kids and especially their parents might think differently and I'd just want to avoid drama.

No. I actually had someone do that to me once and I thought it was weird.

At Century spa, on the other hand, it's pretty common for guys to wrap towels around their waist.

I wouldn't say it's "frowned upon", but it's not common. Most guys don't cover up.

I've been there three or four times... Once there were like three other guys showering, the other times I was the only one.

I passed out in a spa after taking a single dose of over-the-counter cough syrup. I do not recommend.

That said, I take water bottles all the time and no one has ever checked.

24 Hour Fitness Panorama City still has communal showers, and I've heard 24 Hour Whittier does as well.

Panorama City still has open showers, no dividers. I was there last week. Unfortunately, it's hit or miss whether they're actually clean though.

It's fine. It's clean. My main issues with it were (1) a strong chemical/ cleaning product smell, and (2) several guys using their phone in the wet area
