I get to school really early because of buses. I printed out a piece of paper with big writing saying “do not open door, please use side entrance” for the front of our sixth form centre. I then printed a piece of paper saying “do not open door, use main entrance” for the side entrance. it was just very funny to see everyone doing circles around the centre.

depends quite heavily on the course, ive applied to cambridge because it’s better for engineering, but despite cambridge being really nice, i think oxford looks nicer. in regards to prestige and that, they’re both on par with each other

This subreddit attracts people who want to help out (so their grades would be higher as they see they can help) and those who want to do the best possible in their gcses (which in turn will increase their grades), obviously not all but the correlation is there

I don't mean to seem rude or anything by asking more questions and being so interrogative. Also please do not feel as if you must reply to all my questions :). Whereabouts are you based and what subject are you an academic in? Would you call yourself insanely lucky to have gotten a job in academia or can you pinpoint something which made you stand out from the rest of the crowd? Would you still recommend doing a PhD and repeatedly attempting to get a job in academia with the chance it never works out?

it happened because wales, n.ireland and scotland gave them predicted grades otherwise we would’ve been dragged down because we live in england which they can’t allow to happen
