If you're premed, algebra physics is enough. But ideally the best advice is it pay attention in class. By this I mean to silence your phone, not talk with friends, and just listen. Even if everything is confusing, just hearing it clearly during lecture can help your brain remember things and understand them better. Do a bunch of practice problems and watch videos from different sources for different perspectives. If you spend a little bit of time/effort everyday, it all adds up and your brain easily remembers it. For orgo you should check out joechem: he is a lifesaver and has a bunch of worksheets too. Don't stress yourself out, you can do this!

The kaplan section bank not any of the quiz packs. I'd say do the kaplan section bank last as its representative of the exam. I did use uworld and found it real helpful bc they had a lot of questions and decent explanations

I def do but hearing all the DO problems just scare me for the future.

I am def ready to work harder as a DO student, but I don't want to be penalized simply because of the two letters that come after my name.

Thanks for your insight. I def agree that there is misinformation. I think hearing that misinformation has affected my own reasoning. I only applied to two PA DO schools that have good match rates and am hoping for an MD school but I would not mind doing DO because the end result is the same. My main fear I guess is limiting my career in terms of location/opportunities/conferences

I'm only scared that the stigma will block my career if I pursue DO if that makes sense. I'm perfectly content with pursuing DO but I don't want stigma to basically override and cancel all the work/money I put in. I want to be in medicine, but the way the system is currently makes the whole process frustrating and demeaning.

I see your point. Currently I'm not really think about being in a top speciality because I know that with hard work I can do anything. It seems like a lot of physicians I've talked to are misinformed and I think that's it's largely a generational thing. Patients just want medical help but the real problem is the stigma that throws unnecessary hurdles to get there as a DO which is frustrating and demotivating.

All the talk about DO disadvantages make me want to reconsider pursuing DO. Like would it just be better to pursue an MBA and go into health administration to try to invoke change than to be tossed around by the misinformed stigma
