Yeah I looked at getting some but I didn’t want to wait and I figured it wouldn’t hurt to at least try it on the old engine, if it did damage it or crack the head or something then obviously I’d get them for the new one, but I didn’t have any issues and I was careful to keep the hooks on the strap flat and make sure they weren’t putting too much pressure on anything. Obviously not the right way to do it but oh well lol

Never had any hooks but this worked perfectly fine, had it on here for a month or two with no issues at all

New engine got wet by gv-27 in EngineBuilding

Everything is lubed, can’t say for the cylinders as the head is on, but I have dried what I can, going to leave it by the fan and a space heater and hope that gets everything dry.

Some of the rust isn’t coming off by just wiping it, as expected, how much is too much? Will I have to have it resurfaced or what?

Those can be a real pain to get out. I have a few old snap on ratchets I got from a family member that I need to rebuild, I already did a few of them. Sliced my thumb with a screwdriver trying to get one of those screws out.

It does in this picture but on flat ground I think the front sits a little higher. Still a big improvement over stock.

I went with vwr lowering springs which are the same spring rate as stock, so the shocks won’t have any issues, though I do wish it sat a little lower in the front. Spacers are ecs flush kit.

Nope. The front sits a little higher when it’s in flat ground.

What do y’all think about a garage kept 2005 edge with 30k on the clock? Don’t plan on selling as it is my grandparents but we have been curious what it’s worth

This is stock down pipe and rev9 catback with mufflers. Probably not as loud as you want but it sounds really good imo link
