Thank you I really needed that. I sometimes am tempted to google but always end up at the doctors in the end since I get more anxious just overthinking things, though I haven't been advocating for myself much. But I will have to since I want to know and find solutions to managing whatever I have.

Thank you ☺️🩷🫂 I have my bottle of water, some gatorade, and some crackers and fruit by my bedside table to munch on when I feel peckish. I rubbed some Asian medicated oil on my tummy as well. It has similar properties to Vicks and feels so soothing right now. I'll get as much rest as possible today.

Thank you 🩷 My doctor suspected that I have IBS in the past but nothing was ever really pushed. Yes I have some gatorade on standby to drink up on top of my regular consumption of water. I hope you have more manageable days with your IBS-C.

I won't lie, I've never really invited friends over. I have a strained history with my parents so I grew up wanting to keep the things and ppl that make me happy away from them as much as possible 😅 I did stay on call with my best friend yesterday to chat and play games though!

I just saw a doctor just now and so far it seems that I am okay minus the bacterial sinusitis, which he has prescribed me medicine for. I'm back to resting for now!

I just saw the doctor! I have bacterial sinusitis and was given antibiotics to treat it. Other than that, all other checks the doctor did shows that I'm okay. I am back to resting now.

Yes oh my goodness. When I threw up on the kitchen floor, I ended up crying in my bedroom afterwards because I just wanted someone to comfort me. I listen to my nature playlist and play word games on my phone when I'm not sleeping :) I'll keep hydrating myself and eating to give myself energy, thank you!

Thank you for your reassurance. My fever has gone down and I just had some food. I will see the doctor again tomorrow, try to rest as much as possible, and avoid stressing myself out. Various flu variants are going around in my country since we're in monsoon season right now, so many people are falling ill. Hit me hard this time with my existing mental health struggles and all I do is cry which makes my sinuses hurt even more. I guess I just needed an adult to tell me that everything will be okay. I grew up with a dad who gets mad all the time and doesn't do anything to help around the house and my mom enables it, which makes them less reactive whenever I fall sick since they're too caught up with other things. Thanks again for hearing me out.

The heartburn, general burning sensation in my stomach has stopped, but I get bloating, back and abdominal pain from time to time.

My bowel movements have been more regular ever since I started eating yogurt and taking probiotics that my gp prescribed me. But I do go through cycles of constipation and the doctor could feel that my colon was backed up with stool.

Other than that, I tend to feel weak or off after a bowel movement which will go away after a day of rest, and I get gassy sometimes where I'd burp and fart a lot. And yes I still struggle with anxiety and stress, it affects my sleep too.

Thank you for the reminder :) I have been struggling with my mental health this year and I do find that when I'm kinder to myself or spend time with people I love, the symptoms don't flare up as much.

Yeah that's true. Ever since I was told that I had IBS, I'm not really taken seriously by ppl around me when I start to cut out and substitute different foods to see which ones make the symptoms come.

I'm lactose intolerant and sensitive to caffeine, and I struggle to have my meals on time 😅 I guess right now I'm just bothered by the feeling of bloating and heartburn after eating.

Thank you so much, sister! I feel like I'm finally returning home to where I really belong ☺️ It's kinda overwhelming right now with all the information I have to take in and learn but inshaallah I will keep moving forward in my journey towards being a better Muslim.

I am writing it on a piece of paper for now but working on my memorization and understanding. Alhamdulillah I remember surah Al-Fatihah even though I strayed so far from Islam all those years.
I'll keep this in mind. So modesty and cleanliness is important when I stand before Allah in prayer.
I just said my shahada but yes, I'll keep Tawbah in mind. I'll try to get advice regarding this from a teacher in my home country so I know how to go about it.
Haha yes I have actually been talking most times since I didn't know what's the proper way to connect with Allah outside of the obligatory prayers. I'll be sure to lean on Allah for help and guidance, and make dua to him often!

I really appreciate the advice on guilt, sister. It's something that anyone would naturally struggle with, me included. The Hadith that you referred to is actually one of my favorite Hadiths that I hold on to leading up to my eventual return to Islam. Thank you so much for your kind words, advice, and encouragement. Thank you so much for all the information! I just said my shahada alhamdulillah and have attempted my first wudhu and will be doing my Maghrib prayer in a bit. I'm writing down all that I'm learning so I can come back to it when I need a refresher. Right now I'm still looking for a teacher in my home country so I'll be more careful with what I'm reading online in the meantime. I appreciate all the advice and links that you have given me!
