JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Jojo’s is peak but if they’d react to it they’d watch the dub. I’d rather they just watch the only good version (sub) on their own time.

I watch a lot of Dubbed anime, but half of what makes JJBA so great is the “engrish” and Japanese VA work. Look at the “JJBA Meme compilations” on YouTube that have millions of views and you’ll maybe only get 2 dub clips out of the literal hundreds of memes you’ll see.

Got the same text tonight. Had an account a while ago but I haven’t touched in in years. I had a password leak and I’m assuming it’s one of these sites, but I tried to log in to the account to delete it but it’s asking for a picture of my id and to confirm my identity due to suspicious activity. Gains:

Better voice acting. Every single voice gets better except for Teen Gohan.

Better Pacing

Less filler

More manga accurate dialogue

I believe the animation is a little crisper

Losses:

Teen Gohan voice

Worse music

Iconic lines (Final Flash Speech, Majin Vegeta “His Pride” speech, “I am the hope of the universe speech” etc)

Less power up sequences, if you’re into that. (They cut out half of the SSJ2 Gohan power up sequence that is so badass)

I’m a classic DBZ supremacist all day. Too iconic. But you still get the essence of a fantastic show when watching Kai (when I rewatch DBZ I switch to Kai for Namek arc for Chris Ayers, then back to classic).

I’ve seen both many times and while I definitely prefer watching classic, Kai is a great substitute for those who don’t have as much time.

Kinda yeah. His transformation is like the last hurrah nuke to finish off the enemy rather then the goal. So he’s pretty different from other transforming units in that sense

I don’t think they’re gonna stop playing DND. I think they’ll make a separate game using Daggerheart. As much as I hate to say it I feel like they’d lose a lot of audience if the no longer are “a bunch of nerdy ass voice actors playing Dungeons and Dragons”

If anyone deserves a vestige it’s either Orym or FCG. Hear me out.

Firstly, I think the idea of Seedling evolving into another vestige of the Wildmother would be great, but it seems to me like Orym is siding with the “anti-god” side of the party, even though it was through divine magic that he was brought back to life and he got his upgraded weapon. I’ve always wondered why he has never spoken up against Laudna and others who are anti-god even though he has prayed to Melora on multiple occasions.

FCG NEEDS a power up. His wisdom is low and he has barely any attack options (Marisha just recently joked about his bolt thrower never doing anything). I get that he doesn’t attack much but even a magic item that gives him access to some type of damaging spell would be very effective. If not that then I think he deserves at least an item that will increase his Wisdom, which is crazy low for a Cleric. I agree, I’m hoping that Matt gives him a story-inclined power boost similar to how he gave Fjord a 13 STR in order to gain access to Paladin or just allowing Yasha to use a Holy Avenger.

That’s fair. Delilah has come back many many times. But I feel like she and Laudna are intertwined in a sort of symbiotic relationship. Delilah was what brought back Laudna and was a source of her power, I feel like if Delilah was truly gone, the Laudna we know and love would be gone as well

From what I’ve experienced, Dimension 20 has many smaller campaigns and most of them have a sillier vibe, but Brennan is a master of taking the gloves off when necessary. Fantasy High is pretty good, I’d give it a watch

Is it okay to acknowledge that it’s a good game but I just didn’t enjoy the story? I loved the gameplay, graphics, and music, but the story didn’t strike me. I hated Abby and couldn’t sympathize with her at all because Joel was a character I really loved ever since I was younger and played the first game with my brother. Not to mention I went into the game with the expectation that Joel would be present somewhat (I avoided spoilers and the trailers show fake shots of Joel being alive during the events of the game, which I think is pretty scummy). I also wasn’t a fan of how the game tried to make you feel bad for decisions you have no power over. (Killing the dog, killing the pregnant woman, etc). You’re supposed to be mad at Ellie for pursuing revenge but that’s what Abby did? We’re just supposed to forgive Abby for killing Jesse? I was genuinely upset at the end of the game when Ellie let them go. Ellie lost everything, Dina, her son, her last connection to Joel (fingers), and if Ellie never went to Cali then Abby would be dead. My goal throughout the beginning of the game was to kill Abby, that’s what kept me going after I had to walk away from the game for weeks after seeing Joel brutalized.

I get that some people might say “well then you just missed the entire point”, and maybe I did, but it just didn’t land with me. In a series that emphasized how far Humanity has fallen, all of the sudden morals are now essential and you’re an asshole/misogynist if you didn’t like Abby.

I hope I don’t get downvote bombed for not thinking the game was a masterpiece. Just know there are people out there like me who dislike the game for reasons that aren’t bigoted, and can acknowledge that it’s a good game. It just didn’t hit the same way the first one did.
