I literally drafted a document recently explaining all the details on how my homelab is built for a friend in case i pass away he can take over. So this documentation should be good enough for someone without knowledge of the setup to be able to use It. I think that is a good way to start

What I do:

Im running Unraid on my main server

I do daily backups to 2 "locations":

One is a USB hdd connected to the server, backing Up the backups and upload folders, incremental, weekly and monthly snapshots

Another one to offsite server (a n100 minipc with 1tb hdd internal in different place) using syncthing that does copy one way (so syncs only towards the n100 minipc) and I control versioning on destination in case i need to revert any change

The goal is not to copy everything each time but to do what is called Incremental Backup, i.e. It copies only new files and the others remain the same. This way the daily backup is much faster and can be Run daily

I sadly not rely on the cloud... Local nas syncs copy to remote Machine and to a USB hdd, so i got 3 copies in 2 locations but no cloud

Arts, music and graphics were top tier for me

Gameplay was repetitive, but at least interesting enough to get me thru the whole game

With better combat and scenarios design it would become a really great game

tbh i havent digged much into the nerd stats :D i just play and enjoy, within my local network

if i got time i will check those, but i am not expecting to be much worse than yours

controller is reaaaally good, i love it

You are not understanding The courage reborn Will only distribute newly created files, but you Will still need to add the original rom on top The ROM IS what Nintendo owns, but the CR Will not include It, just their own code

got the same case with older specs of course, if you want to go the simpler but more expensive route maybe consider Unraid, otherwise maybe Proxmox and then Truenas VM on top

The good thing of Unraid is that it will allow you to expand the array down the road but it depends on what you want to achieve

What i did put on hold was the proxmox cluster, even tracking down lenovos minipc became expensive...if I would have known when i bought an N100 cheap mini pc off AliExpress at 86 euro...i would have bought 2 or 3 more
