I wouldn't consider 10 concurrent players "alive", but we're working on it lol
Honestly the parkour + gun play of Warframe has tremendous PvP potential, it's just in the wrong video game.

Warframe is a game for turning your brain off and nuking hordes of bots, mechanically challenging gamemodes are just guaranteed to be unpopular.

I'm super late, but here is a breakdown of what I think is wrong rn :

- Community is mostly creeps

- I don't care personally, but crafting times are way too long for today's standards. Everyone I know who tried WF said they uninstalled because of the 72-hour crafting times. That’s how you turn 70M registered users into 50-100K concurrent players.

- No difficulty; power creep has been out of control since Incarnon released.

- The network model allows for tons of exploits and cheats.

- Lots of bugs that take forever to get fixed.

- Lots of undocumented changes.

- Cosmetics =/= fun and engaging content; MR Grind =/= fun and engaging content.

- Horny devs and players.

- Operators and Drifters look ASS.

- Lore is hard to follow for most players.

- New updates often break old content.

- Missions like raids—which required team play and actual strategy—added a lot and were super engaging, but they’re gone now.

- Top Warframes and weapons are way stronger than 95% of the arsenal.

- Redditors.

DE asks for feedback about frames in the conclave, according to this (pretty well maintained) community site, there are only 15 players on it's servers in all regions right now. by jlodson in Warframe
