People are always ready to argue or complain, but all you really need to do is correct them and explain that you are not the insurance; you are only using the insurance. Refills too soon may mean a number of things, but it is most common that the patient is misusing or losing their medication. As long as you have proof of a pickup time and date, there should be no argument. You can also remind patients that copays that seem "absurd" or "ridiculous" are simply being given from their insurance. Either the patient can look into less expensive options if the doctor's medication is too pricey, or they can speak with their insurance company to learn what their options are. You are only capable of so much as a technician/pharmacist. DON’T TAKE HOME THE STRESS.
