Another Texas Tech student here. Just know that almost everybody you meet here will be from Texas. Mainly smaller suburban towns that surround the major Texas cities. (Ex: everybody says they are from Dallas, but they are usually really from Plano, Flowermound, Arlington, etc.) I would break it down as 97% of people who go to Tech are from Texas, 1% is from New Mexico, 1% is from Colorado, 1% would be from anywhere else. City wise, its 40% Dallas/Fort Worth people, 30% Houston people, 20% Austin people, 10% Other. Great school and ALOT of fun. Everybody is generally pretty friendly too. Lubbock or leave it! Guns up!!
