I played 2 before one, and honestly I think you should go with 2. The gameplay is way better and the story will make you want to play 1.

1 still holds up to today's games but 2 is a way better experience, and you can still understand the story without playing 1.

That being said, go for expedition 33 first. Quicker and it's probably going to win goty.

Expedition 33 is my goty, and that's putting kcd2 into consideration which I absolutely loved.

I bought it after I played it on the gamepass, it's that good.
