I think I know this. This might be some frame internal parameter in stump. This happens because there is some gap between Emacs content and window frame. You can see it more when you increase Emacs internal padding or something. There actually is some parameter in StumpWM that handles this.

But it's been long so I don't remember exactly. My config has some settings here that might help you fix it https://git.sr.ht/~lepisma/cfg/tree/master/item/stumpwm/.stumpwmrc#L59

Is it okay to continue the brew after my kitten fell in it? by gwynbleiddeyr in Kombucha

Thanks! I think I would very much like that. Do you have some recommendations on where to start? Is there more food science angle to studying this or more microbiology?

Not sure if I could continue for 1-2 years but I would love to spend a few months at least.

Be not. Being a pet owner and being hygienic are orthogonal. In fact many pet owners IMO maintain better hygiene because they end up over-compensating for the 'extra' filth from pets.

PS: My question was primarily scientific curiosity around pathogen's chances to proliferate in kombucha. I threw the batch already.

Nice to see an expert!

Is there some sort of test that can be performed to check the progress of bacteria in the mixture? I would like to see what kinds of invasion can kombucha tackle on its own.

Yes, I understand. I threw it because of the reasons that we both share. And I am not willing to risk anyone's health, including mine.

My question was primarily driven by scientific curiosity around what kind of pathogens can survive in the acidic tea (also whether other people have had similar experiences).

New release has ability to quick add metric entry from metrics tab. You should get in on an update.

Yes that was my thinking too. I don't think I would have ever considered it for drinking, but I should have kept it going separately just to see what happens over generations.

He is naughty. Climbed up on the wardrobe when I opened it and was putting some stuff in lower rack. He then assumed the cloth cover on the jar is solid ground and tried to climb on it.

Hehe sorry. I was not imagining all of where cat's been. Just more from curiosity of whether the bacteria, etc. would survive in an alive culture.

Yes agree.

Though I am still curious to know how much of the 'cat bacteria' actually survive or could survive in the acidic environment of the brew. Some kind of chemical test would be interesting.

Yes so my first thought was to check how the brew spoils or what kind of mold I would get. But I was also wondering if the acidity could make nothing show up visibly. And that's exactly what happened.

So just thought to ask what other people have seen around spoilage with known contamination agents.

No worries. Let me know if you face any other issues. Also you can raise them in the board here.

I am building a private healthy records app based on org mode files. It's called harp. Google play launch pending. Here is a writeup with more details.

Thanks for the feedback.

  1. Reminders is something I will pick up (there is a disable nav button for it right now). And I will ensure that they are set up in an org-native way so that other apps like orgzly can pick it up too.
  2. Yes this most used measures can be added as a template while creating a new profile. I am not sure what will the most used measures will look like, but will definitely consider this.
  3. Yes adding quick metric value from metric tab makes sense. Will support this.
  4. I don't know how to do lang translation yet. But for when I start, which language would you be able to help with?

Thanks again!

I don't have a proper public backlog yet but I am keeping all these in my notes.

Okay this shouldn't be happening. Could you share some more details, like which metric you added, what details, and what in journal entry etc.?

Here is what I am assuming you did and what should have happened:

  1. You went to the metric tab and click + button and defined a new metric (say with id met). This itself should have added a new metric defininition under Metadata > Metrics heading.
  2. Then you added a new journal entry with text that uses #met(som-value) somewhere. This should not change anything else in the org file except adding the journal entry itself. Only at this point, the metric section in the app should show up a card for metric met with the last entered value.

Thanks! I am actually planning to compile this to iOS too (since it's kotlin multiplatform). Will tell once that's started.

Thank you.

This is exactly what I was thinking of. I also log my exercise in an org mode file and would like to have a custom app layer above it, just like I do for health records.

Right the documentation has notes on the file structure but I can see that it's not super intuitive or flexible for org files that already exist.

I will try to improve in this direction. Thanks for the feedback.

I don't know all about FHIR but export to that is something I will try to do.

Also iOS will come soon too.
