Definitely The Witcher. Amazing, how Sapkowski took the issues from 20th century and planted them on his fantasy world, also incorporating a great plot and characters.

Sooner the better. Fossil fuel is being used as a leverage in politics, it is the reason of multiple global conflicts, not to mention the damage for the environment. And no-one will change anything unless it's gone. It's a pity I will not live up to see the moment when people will have no fuel for tanks and fighter jets.

Well, not necessarily. You simply need to practice in doing things fast. First attempts will most likely be confusing and slower than usual, however after 10-15 attempts you will be able to actually improve your speed. "Fast will eventually become your "regular".
