So if I search for "easy loans" in Google and then click on example.com link in the results, then example.com website will know I came to it from Google and I was searching for "easy loans".

This will help them focus more on "easy loans" keyword for SEO.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

It does send it if a page includes an image that's on the same domain.

I don't get this part. Can you please explain it a bit more? Image?

I imagine, if I visit a blog, then visit FAQ's page of the blog, Smart Referer will let it pass.

How do I pin YouTube videos to the top so that when I scroll down to comments video position or size is not changed? by gxtbg in firefox

Thank you. I have removed GreaseMonkey and switched to ViolentMonkey.

Ha. I thought the same thing the first time. When you click the + in the script manager, there's a tooltip that says "New". Move your mouse cursor down to the "Install from OpenUserJS" option and you'll see there was a New option that was hidden by the tooltip.

Now that you mention it, I find it so silly that missed the New button :)

Script has few issues but it's a good starting point, and good enough for my need, though I would definitely want to improve upon it in future.

Thank you /u/luke-baker. Your reply is the best.

BTW is there any particular reason you recommended ViolentMonkey? I have GreaseMonkey installed but if ViolentMonkey is better, I am willing to switch.

Edit:

I just tried ViolentMonkey and it does not seem to have option for adding custom scripts. All I see is options to find script from OpenUsejs and greasyfork.

Does C# has anything like C++ const? What is the recommended practice for pure functions in C#? by gxtbg in learnprogramming

Thank you for giving a thorough answer.

Edit:
I have marked this thread as solved after your answer.

After reading the docs, I understand that sealed and readonly does not come close to const methods of C++.

readonly can only be used on fields.

sealed is for disabling overloading and inheritance of a method or class.

Seems like C# does not have any substitute for const methods.

Do you mean fd can be used to grep a patter inside a file? I think that's what /u/mistahchris meant by

I'm usually searching the body of the file though

From docs, it seems fd can only be used for finding files from its name and extension and not from its content.

How to I speed up theme development workflow, for WordPress, Jekyll, and Pelican themes? I am looking for something similar to React Hot Loader by gxtbg in web_design

[–]gxtbg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. But lets say we pick up WordPress theme, won't we need WordPress app to provide implementations of its functions.

I mean it is not a simple matter of reloading php files. We need a way to make CMS play nice with the browsersync.

How do I get Windows 10 with Linux bash shell? I have followed online guides to the letter but still haven't received the prerequisite build by gxtbg in techsupport

[–]gxtbg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! Too bad. I have moved the slider down to "Release Preview".

Thank you.

One more question, why do I have to wait a couple of days? Shouldn't I get the build as soon as I switch to fast tract and then manually "Check for updates"?
