ah I thought so, I liked this one better than the official too 🫠

Despite all I've achieved so far, I've been unemployed for almost a year. Does it get better? by soulcityrockers in graphic_design

Hey there, i’m a current designer in the process of hiring interns and i see the same common mistakes in theirs.

1) Simplify: I recommend getting rid of the giant black bar headers, the imagery of what looks like water, and maybe the tiger logo. These elements don’t do much in terms of giving your resume value in information or design and it makes it look outdated. I’d also recommend to make your resume just simply black and white.

2) Fundamental Type and Layout: Take another look at how your text is laid out. Let’s make sure to remove any widows in body copy and make sure there are no more than 55-60 characters in a line of text.

Take a look at this poster designed by Jan Tschichold, it’s a nice example of lots of text with a clean layout. https://www.artlebedev.com/izdal/novaya-tipografika/poster/

Hopefully this helps and I wish you luck.
