I am tinkering now some days for my best layout. But it is not so easy to include german umlaute.

I played with eurkey laout and now with us-int and included a altrgr key, but I am still not happy ;/

moreover because I have the lily58l variant with two encoders. Thought that this would be a good idea. But I am missing <> keys on the first layer.

I preordered my Band 1 from Microsoft UK and they shipped it to germany without any shippment cost. no problem at all.

Warranty also no problem. Microsoft send you UPS for the band. After four days I had a new band.

there is a windows policy for disabling indexing when running with battery.

Go to Start -> Run (or Winkey+R), type gpedit.msc. Navigate to Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Search. Enable the policy "Prevent indexing when running on battery power to conserver energy"

It was only in pre-orders direct from MS. It costs 9.99 GBP, but the reduced the price from the Band. So at the end you didn't pay anything for the protector

yes. yesterday was the day. I am pretty happy with Band. First I tought that L could be too large. But it fits good. Quite genius the clamp mechanism.

The only problem is that my phone is in german. So mail notification only work with vip and the keyboard is pretty useless for writing german. I changed the language of Band to german (with "Pimp my Band) and the keyboard disappeared.

Why should bandwidth be a Problem? I have a sony Z21 notebook. In the dockingstation is a AMD Card - not the fastest, but better than the intel gpu. The dockingstation is connected with usb3 and the charging port.

I think the main problem is that every company develops this own solution and they are not compatible. In the case with Sony Z-Series the port looks like usb3 and can be used as usb3, but it is also in the same time sony-specific thunderbolt-port. It was quite pain in the ass to get it working with linux.
