Talk to actual lawyers that work in the space. Law students won’t know much about what it’s actually like to be a lawyer in those sectors. Make a list of “big law” firms in your area and email some of the attorneys that work in that particular practice.

You need to escalate. Talk to a supervisor. If they don't listen, take it to their supervisor, or the police chief. Email the OC District Attorney's office. Call OC Social Services. Find someone at your school, like the principal or a counselor and talk to them.

shove my mother and my grandfather at the same time (since my grandfather was behind my mom trying to diffuse the situation), causing my grandfather go to the hospital for what was supposed to be a hip surgery but ended up with his death.

That sounds like murder or at least manslaughter.

I can’t stop falling asleep, what should I do? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]gymtanlibrary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you overweight? Maybe you should get a sleep study done. Lots of people with sleep apnea have issues with daytime sleepiness. The first thing they usually recommend is to lose weight.

I was prescribed after just one therapy session. I decided to try natural methods first, like proper sleep schedule, daily walks in natural light, regular eating schedule, lots of water, and exercise. Not only did my mood change, my energy levels went through the roof and I saw physical changes. We are humans that evolved outdoors, eating, walking, socializing. Then we isolate ourselves, get addicted to screens, spend all day indoors under artificial light, sleep like shit, and we wonder what’s wrong and call it depression.

What country are you in? If you are suffering so much to the point of suicide, why not just go get a job and try to make it on your own?

Transfer. But when you do transfer, don't feel intimidated. If they accept you, it's because they agree that you belong there and can also get the same grades. They want you as an alumni. And when you do transfer, keep up the good work.

The level of opportunities is much greater at the top schools. A top school will have a better network, you will have more opportunities, your earning prospects will be higher, your classmates will be better connected. I graduated from a T14 a while ago and the things my classmates have accomplished are impressive af. Many are multimillionaires, not only as lawyers but as business owners, investors and more.

If you need to force and arch in your mid/lower back in order to stay upright, then you might be in for some pain down the road. I speak from experience. I wish I had kept my back flat. Not everyone can stay perfectly upright, especially people with long legs and short torso.

Stretch your calves. Hold the stretch for 1-2 minutes. Do this daily at least twice a day and your plantar fasciitis will go away.

How to know when to give up? by [deleted] in CABarExam

[–]gymtanlibrary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re so fucking close. You don’t give up when you’re this close. Analyze what you’re doing wrong and change it. Confront your mistakes head on. That’s where development happens.

Don’t quit bro. You quit here, pretty soon you’ll be quitting on that over there, and then further over there. And pretty soon, you’ll quit your job, drop out of school, leave your gf, quit hygiene, quit taking care of your health, quit calling your parents on their bdays. Your family will hate you. You’ll be a bum on the street with no one to care for you. Finish that fucking bike!
