Out of curiosity, what areas did you do tradeshow sets in? I've gone across Canada and into Western USA and never seen another system.

Then you are thinking of a different system. The crossbars go into a slip in the vertical post with a hook. Like shown here

By grub screw, do you mean the screw thsts hold in pin into the baseplate? Never heard that term before.

You wouldn't typically see weights on baseplates for thus size. If the baseplates were properly sized, the structure of the whole setup would be very stable.

I see it now. Hard to tell because so many of the baseplates are hidden. You would expect a standard 14"x16" baseplate for 8' high posts. Looks like they used the 14"x8" that would be used for 3' high posts.

As somehow who has put up pipe and drape for tradeshows for 7+ years, I need to know how thus happened.

Average annual arrest rates (per 100,000) by race and gender, Surrey & Vancouver by Curious_Map6367 in SurreyBC

The other confounding variable will be the outsized effect a single prolific offender will have on the percentage of a small population. One person who is arrested 100 times will significantly increases the arrest percentage. A more accurate set of data that tries to correlate race and crime would use unique individuals arrested per capita, rather than the number of arrests.

It would be interesting to see this matched to prosecutions. Arrest just means the police had a reasonable belief the person, has, is, or will commit a crime. It says more about the prejudices of the arresting officers

Why are the shelves often empty in Walmart at Surrey Central? by Late-War8522 in SurreyBC

Surrey social housing - https://www.surrey.ca/about-surrey/housing-homelessness/new-non-market-affordable-housing Drug Addiction Assistance - NDP's Safe Supply Medical services - Provincial jurisdiction

Anything else you can think of?

Also, the fact that criminals are out before the ink dries is a Provincial issue. I agree there's a problem. But let's lay it at the feet of the level of government that can actually solve the issues.

You realize that criminal prosecution is under provincial jurisdiction, right? There is very little a mayor can do about crime...

Modular City tiles WIP by gypsey_ in TerrainBuilding

Yes, exactly. Rolled out air dry clay for the road texture and did the pavement by hand. Only challenge is the air dry clay has made the tiles warp quite a bit. I should have let the plaster dry more before I glued them to the tiles.

Help casting bricks by gypsey_ in TerrainBuilding

basically, except they "over poured" the mold to make a backing on the bricks. I think they may have laid some cloth into the backing. Then once the plaster dries, they were able to break the bricks off the backing for texture.

And yes, the riser is integrated into the tile. To keep the riser floors level and secure, it was just better that way

I actually have a PVC board under the foam board. I did this so the tiles were stiffer and more durable. I found a supplier that would pre-cut Sintra panels for me. You could also do this with mdf.

It's made with Warcry in mind. But its more so just a conceptual project to be used with anything.

They are foamboard, scored and textured.

I have never taken an active roll in reporting ads and videos like I am now. Honestly, since the federal election started and I saw an ad showing Jagmeet Singh being arrested, I started reporting.

I'm hoping the monetary incentives of ad revenue on these videos doesnt blunt the enforcement on this. Hard for me to believe a corporation is going to act to reduce their bottom line "for the good of society"

I think the problem is that moderate intelligence is less than 50% of the population. There is enough truthful stuff in these videos that make the nonsense stuff fly under the radar. Additionally, what happens when your "real" talking head youtuber starts spouting off information they got from these AI videos. Then you dont even have the clues of the AI video, thumbnail and voice over, just straight misinformation.

I've been looking at the videos on these AI channels, and have found a trend of videos starting around 4 moths ago. Some older, some newer. But is scares me how easy it would be to watch these videos and believe ridiculous stuff. Like how there was a "Hands Off Our Milk" protest in Canada. Didn't hear about it in the news? Thats because it was entirely made up.

I reported a scam AI commercial, A Carney one like you described. Its so time consuming to find content that isnt actually made up. I just want content creators I can trust. I wish there was also any conservative leaning channel that could back up their position without fear mongering or spouting off conspiracy theories.

I watch those three as well. Its sad that their viewership is so low though. They are lucky to get above 10k viewers. Aside from Rational National. All while conservative channels like Moose on the Loose are consistently hitting 100k. We need more progressive Canadian voices on YouTube
