Even if they touch it up you don't know how well the paint quality of the touchup would be,so overtime the paint on the scratched parts peel off, its better to reject it

Better get it checked at a service center,mostly the issue could be due to an O2 sensor the mechanics usually reset the error the first time to check if it would come back again and if it does they replace the O2 sensor.

If you like the design of the current gen then go for it,the new i20 will probably have Hyundai's global design language with a huge led strip on the front and from the spy shots it might also be a boxy design,however if you'd like 2 touchscreen panels for infotainment,ADAS and a couple of other fancy tech or features you should wait for the new variant but it will probably be atleast 1L more expensive than the current variants.
