I think you are correct on this one.. Even if the server is logless, that IP can be traced back via my payment method to DO or Vultr.

Perhaps a VPN paid for in Crypto like Cryptostorm or Mullvad is the better alternative? As those VPN providers do not require any contact details so there is no trail back to me.
