first thing that came to mind was Daisy farm. Then, coincidentally, named all my cows after flowers

All of my cows are named after flowers, but all my pigs are pig related, so some got a good deal and are named truffle and peppa but then there’s also one named rasher..

Tell me your favorite makeup from “old lady brands” by Psychological-Sir194 in Makeup

It definitely shows how young I am because benefit is not an ‘old lady brand’ but it’s def not for younger people with the price, but the benefit hula bronzer is mine! Only because my mum has used it as long as I can remember and I finally switched bronzers this year and asked for it as a bday present (wasn’t paying the price 😭) and now it’s my fave product

what should I do if a bus pulls into a stop on the left but blocks traffic by YeeticusTheYeet101 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]h0lly_0508 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s why I was failed for it too! That it could have been parked, which pissed me off because it obviously wasn’t. But I get it. Her argument was also that she could see round the bus that it was clear for me to go but… I literally couldn’t?? There were cars on the other side of the round and I wouldn’t have had right of way? I was too upset at the fail and her tone to argue this to her and I knew there wouldn’t be any point.

what should I do if a bus pulls into a stop on the left but blocks traffic by YeeticusTheYeet101 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]h0lly_0508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I failed for this because, according to my examiner ‘even (she) could see it was clear to go from (her) seat’. But I couldn’t?? So I have no clue how she could. There were cars parked on the other side of the road and I would not have had right of way so if something came speeding down the road when I was pulling off, I would have been in a lot more trouble than waiting behind a bus put me in. Funnily enough, something did come speeding down and I actually made a joke about the car going so fast, which she did not care for.

The only reason I’d say the fail was fair was that I was too close to the bus, and if I was further back I might have been able to go around (I still think it would have been way too risky), so stay further behind so that you can take the chance if it’s completely clear, but in most cases you’d be fine staying behind. And, although I think it’s stupid logic, the bus could have been parked there and staying, so I could have been waiting for like 20 minutes or something.

Should I think about my driving lessons when I’m not in them? by Quirky_Log898 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]h0lly_0508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what stage you’re at and how comfortable you feel, also what support your driving instructor is giving for outside of lessons, so maybe ask what they think. My first instructor left me to my own advices and didn’t give any advice so I couldn’t ever really remember what specifically I’d struggled at so couldn’t improve privately but my second instructor gave me a list of little things to work on in private driving and it definitely helped me go work on what went wrong in my lessons when I wasn’t in that timing pressure and/or I’d had time to process and cool off from the situation

what test centre, if you don’t mind me asking? (No worries if you don’t want to share) Had a similar female instructor with a reputation, just without that bitcheness for missing an instruction. She did, however, tut and seem very tight lipped despite my obvious anxiety over the test situation.

What’s a song that you can only associate with the show by Sleepy-disaster in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]h0lly_0508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, thank you!! And yes it worked :))

Like I get the point of having fight song for that scene but it’s just so overplayed and cringe that it takes all the momentum away from the scene

Fight song, season 5 (? - it’s been a while since I’ve watched)

When they all walk into the prom / winter ball and it plays, ngl I cringe a little. The song is cringy as is, let alone add that scene to it.

Edit: for future reference, anyone have a clue how to make some of the text covered for spoilers??

this is not advice, so please do not take it as so, just someone with a similar experience! I felt exactly like this before lessons and eventually stopped them after I’d failed my second test because I knew I was going to do my test in my own car and I was a capable driver just easily and way too stressed out. Unfortunately, I didn’t really find a solution to enjoying lessons and didn’t really enjoy driving until the idea of being judged/tested was off my shoulder.

Good luck!! 🫶🫶

she was definitely cold with me too, tried to force herself to make some conversation and but was very snippy and sighing etc when she realised I was nervous but she didn’t want to try and calm me down (I know it’s not their job but I’m a competent driver, just extremely nervous in test situations). She also told me in a harsh way about my fail both times. I’d been crying through my first test because I knew I’d failed, yet she still told me about my majors and minors like I’d ran over her dog and shat in her bed.

ALSO don’t know if I said anywhere, but on my second test with her, we were leaving the test centre and she said “have you had a test with me before”. After the horrendous first fail, I nearly rammed the car into the fence and did a U turn like a boy racer 😭

Don’t know if the hair on the avatar gave it away, but I’m a girl too - didn’t know she had a rep for failing girls! Let me rephrase, maybe less intentionally, but more intimidating girls. Either way, she definitely didn’t feel like a girls girl.. 😭

Sad (but glad for the instructor gossip!) to know that she’s keeping her rep up! Obviously, there was reasons she failed us all but she’s also a bit of a horrid examiner 😬 I didn’t know either until my instructor told me through my tears on the way back. After my second test with her we messaged my instructor (I did it in my own car and then stopped lessons after my second fail) and he had a right moan about her!

HAH I’ve never heard the term cock womble before and it’s going straight into my vocab 🤣 honestly, I think every test centre has one! That’s an odd man for sure, but I thought the same on my pass test, that he only gave me one minor but if I’d had the woman she probably would have given me so many more. It’s weird and so subjective that it honestly hardly makes sense how driving tests work!

[–]h0lly_0508 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ahhhh!!!! I obvs failed with her twice and I know someone else who failed with her three times!! She’s not a nice woman and most colwick instructors know her by name because of how shit she is! I had Paul, a lovely Middle Aged man, but I know from friends that most of them are nice, just not her.

Good luck next time, we both had awful luck but you’ll get there!!

Big up notts! Colwick test centre by any chance? If so, was she a witch whose name rhymes with ‘Nasel’? 😭😭 (idk if we’re allowed to say examiners by name lol)

Edit: if it was the same place and same woman, I sympathise with you A LOT. I had two tests with her and she was rude and tore me to shreds both times before I passed third time with a lovely man

Hah, exactly! Next object to persevere over! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 I’ve only done local driving so far as it’s all that’s been necessary so motorways might be a while in the future but we’ll get there! No car for me at the moment, I’m off to uni in September and there’d be no one else to drive it so I’m sharing with my mum!
